Interrogated by FBI and Secret Service agents, thrown to the ground, handcuffed, and driven off by local police who maintain he was never really “under arrest”, Marine Sergeant Brandon Raub was finally freed from a psychiatric hospital on Thursday after Circuit Court Judge Allan Sharrett dismissed a petition of involuntary commitment on the grounds that it was “…so devoid of any factual allegations that it could not be reasonably expected to give rise to a case or controversy.”
In fact, that petition, filed by the Chesterfield Police for the purpose of holding Raub in the John Randolph mental facility, was BLANK!
On Thursday the 17th, Raub’s Chesterfield County, Virginia home was invaded by minions of federal law enforcement and his hometown police department as a result of entries on the Marine’s Facebook page that the government deemed “…ominous posts talking of a coming revolution.”
An attorney from the Rutherford Institute, a Charlottesville civil liberties group, went to the mental facility to which Raub had been committed by a local judge acting in accord with the wishes of federal law enforcement authorities. “For government officials to not only arrest Brandon Raub for doing nothing more than exercising his First Amendment rights but to actually force him to undergo psychological evaluations and detain him against his will goes against every constitutional principle this country was founded upon,” said Rutherford Executive Director John Whitehead after interviewing the Marine.
Raub’s “crime” is in stating that the government is not telling the truth about the 9/11 attacks; that the nation is being run by an evil, anti-American group of political and financial insiders; and that a revolution must soon take place in order to re-establish the constitutional rights of the American public. These beliefs led Raub to post opinions on his Facebook page that federal agents contend were “terrorist in nature.”
But as Whitehead sees it, “ Raub was targeted for doing nothing more than speaking out against the government.” In fact, the American people should be far more concerned about the fact that “…government officials are apparently monitoring citizens’ private Facebook pages and arresting people with whom they disagree.” For although an FBI spokesman said the agency did not do any Facebook snooping, many of the Raub posts about which the Bureau claimed to have received numerous “complaints” had been entered on a “closed Facebook page” which Raub had “…just created and that had only three members,” one being Raub’s sister.
In 2009, the Department of Homeland Security announced the beginning of a “Media Monitoring Initiative.” Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the Electronic Information Privacy Center (EPIC), it was discovered the DHS had hired General Dynamics to monitor everything from major media to Twitter and Facebook for “…reports that reflect adversely on the US Government [or] DHS.” At the time, Janet Napolitano lied about the true purpose of this Department program, but information gathered by EPIC in the lawsuit made it clear Obama’s minions were scanning public websites for evidence of disloyalty to and criticism of the Obama Administration.
With neither charge nor warrant, Brandon Raub was handcuffed and removed to a mental facility for “…doing nothing more than speaking out against the government.” Clearly, such cases are designed to intimidate future critics of Barack Obama or any would-be federal dictator. And the “pre-crime detention” suffered by Raub is a stark warning to each American that self-censorship must be considered preferable to imprisonment. Nice folks in Washington, DC.

This is the kind of law enforcement to be expected from the left that is so afraid of the people having guns that they use the mindless enforcement agencies to do their bidding. Talk to the cops and they all say they would never do that but they do it because “that’s the law” because someone told them it was. This reflects the future for America with the country going more this direction each day. Their intent is to silence America.
I spent 32 years in law enforcement and if I felt that the order that was given was illegal I stood my ground and refused to enforce an illegal act. I like my freedom and my property and would not willingly give any if it up.
@HotinTexas, I almost WISH this were about guns. I’m afraid that it’s more about something, like noses, that we all have—opinions. If it were about guns only, then they wouldn’t be interested in putting him in the psych ward.
I recall another ploy by this administration such as the one where children were asked to tell if they heard anyone speaking negatively about the (you name it, president, administration, etc.). Very wisely, the public got up in arms but even better, they laughed the idea out of existence. Apparently.
This should not be swept under the rug, but kept in the daylight so that sunshine can take care of its evil intentions.

Yes he was taken into custody by the local department but it was at the behest of the feds. Judging from the number of federal goons on site in civilian clothes, they apparently thought he was really a dangerous character. I saw no resistance from Mr. Raub as they put him on the ground and handcuffed him. He and his mother were only asking for some explanation of why he was being arrested and no one answered except one local officer said it was for his own safety. One thug in civilian clothes kept commanding his mother to “stay back – stay back” while motioning at her with his hand as if she posed a real danger to the safety of the officers. He is the same one I saw in a different video that just glared arrogantly at her when she asked him to remove his dark glasses. I don’t know if he is FBI or Secret Service but which ever he is, he shouldn’t be.
This is the kind of action by police one would expect in a police state where people are whisked away for what they say or think and put away in mental facilities without even filing charges or allowing legal representation. It will not be surprising to see more like this as they try to suppress opposition and push patriotic people to the point where someone will snap against them. That would be immediately used as an excuse to attempt even more massive measures to quell the “potential domestic terrorists” DHS has been warning us about and save the nation from violence and chaos brought about by “right wing extremists.” Veterans will be particular targets to neutralize. Because of their training and dedication to country it will be imperative to try to suppress them as a group first. I don’t think this regime understands that it won’t be that simple and vets will not be easily intimidated by a bunch of thugs using tactics straight out of Gestapo and KGB handbooks. Big Brother IS watching even though they deny that they are.

@ Cetansapa, I agree with your theory that the idea is to push a person to the breaking point. so that actions can be taken up a knotch against that category of citizen.
A very savvy person has advised that this should be a movement of INFORMATION and EDUCATION, not physical resistance. The populace should be informed of its legal rights against warrantless search and seizure, the right to legal representation, and awareness of the organizations like The Rutherford Institute who are prepared to represent us. Extended family must know these facts in case there is an arrest.
I pray that we will get out of this mess, and be more vigilent in the future. In Jesus’ name, amen.
This is why it is very serious that we don’t fall into “Broken-back Obama’s” trap. This pre-crime thing is easy to invoke if we don’t listen or read things properly and within its context. Today, it is 20,000 vets, tomorrow its anyone. That’s why the people have to really take their political education seriously. Read, the law, read the Constitution, and even more importantly keep up with whats going on with these congressmen and senators. They are hiding a myriad of sins in that capital, called Washington.
Napolitano and every Officer involved in this case should be charged with kidnapping and false arrest and unlawfull imprisonment and they all should be locked up and finger printed just like any one else

America’s major problem will be, there is no one with sufficient nerve to haul all of these traitors into court.

Remember–if Raub had been arrested according to Obama’s NDAA 2012 powers, he would have had no right to even SEE the judge who set him free! He might be held until the “end of hostilities!” Anyone want to define WHAT hostilities that entails??

Why isnt obama in a mental facility? He obviously has an inferiority complex because he is so think skinned, he cant stand anyone saying anything negative about him. He cant prove who he is, and isnt it odd that hillary took time out in 2009, to go to the National British ARchives in London?? Guess they overlooked obamas birth certificate which is on file there, since he was born in kenya, and that was a british colony in 1961. Why has our Congress allowed him to serve?? Listen to the Coast to Coast program on radio, for August 24. Its about a woman who is charge of Gulf War Vets, and what she has been learning about the way, the medical director, and doctors have been treating the boys when they come home from war, with joint problems, agent orange, cancer, caused from the depleted uranium in afghanistan. How the doctors say that physical problems are all in their minds and they need to tough up like a solider, (I guess ignore it). Then it takes months to see a doctor, and then they tell them nothing is wrong with them, and give they psycotrophic drugs, such as wellbutrin, other anti depressent drugs, and pain pills. They tell them they dont even need to come back to the doctor for a refill, but they only give them 5 years to take care of their needs. She thinks its because it takes about 5 years for cancer to be full fledged and diagnosed. Since a previous program she has been deluged with phone calls from ex vets, saying the same thing is going on with them. Anyway they are filing a class action suit against the government. So listen to the past program to get her name and information. Also there is a posting wall, the only one left on the internet, to put your comments. Coast to Coast is going to investigate this and not let it drop!!

@Longdrycreek, it may be more deeply rooted and personal than that. As I understand it, his grandmother tried to emphasize his white genes. However, probably due to the influence of Frank Marshall Davis from age 10, he developed a strong animosity against white people. Period. The rest of the story is just political justification for his feelings. One day it won’t matter what a person’s racial mix is, and that will be a blessed day, but when he was growing up it was not that simple. We are the victims of his rage.

I haven’t had time to read all comments posted above. However, I read two articles today from Canada Free Press by Doug Hagmann, dated 8.17.12 “Christianity & gun owners in the crosshairs: a chilling tactic exposed,” and 8.24.12 “Psychiatry as a weapon to silence religious and political opposition.”
Hagmann investigated an individual, Jason Egroff, a 28-year-old Scranton, Pennsylvania web designer and Blog Talk Radio host of the weekly Revelation News Christian broadcast, who also was ‘non-arrested’ but ‘delivered for phych evaluation’ due to his pro-Christian views and non-violent opposition of the Obama administration. Although in Egroff’s case, the subject was religious, his gun ownership was also used as a reason to order the psych evaluation and resulted in the ‘order’ to surrender his guns (although he has been ‘permitted’ to keep them—for now).
Hagmann refers to the January 2010 Schizophrenia Bulletin, authored by Robert van Voren that details strategies used in the Soviet Union in the 1970s and 1980s. The author said, “During the height of the political oppression in the Soviet Union, studies found that at least one-third of the political prisoners were locked up in psychiatric hospitals.” He also stated, “using psychiatry as a means of repression has been a particular favorite of Socialist-oriented regimes….“[T]he political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union originated from the concept that persons who opposed the Soviet regime were mentally ill because there was no other logical explanation why one would oppose the best sociopolitical system in the world.”
During his investigation, Hagmann said he heard from five-(5) other individuals in different parts of the U.S. that this has happened to within the last thirty-(30) days. Obviously, Obama et al, are taking a leaf out of the communist ‘book of oppression.’
He summarized his article, “As one digs deeper into today’s headlines, it is evident that the socialist inclinations of the current administration, from Obama to Holder to Napolitano and across the higher levels of government, are becoming more apparent. Noted in the study is a reference to Russia that appears to apply here in the U.S.; “the deteriorating political climate seems to create an atmosphere in which local authorities feel that they can again use psychiatry as a means of intimidation.”
It appears we will be seeing more of this tactic. Maybe our best defense against Obama’s ‘soft tyranny’ is to get the information out to the public as quickly as possible every time the tactic is used.
In order to understand why this criminal administration is using this underhanded tactic of locking the innocent up for mental reasons you MUST look up the “45 Goals of Communism in America” and SEE the reason. This Criminal administration is pushing the United States into Communism. It is OBVIOUS.

The Soviets used to send “social misfits” and those deemed politically incorrect to massive mental institutions called gulags. The Red Chinese call them lao gai. Hitler called them concentration camps.
“39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose communist goals.”
Psychiatry remains a bulwark of the communist agenda of fostering self-criticism and docility.
In the 45 Goals you will see the Left’s war on the family, war on religion, war on the Constitution, war on the Founding Fathers, war on self-determination. It is ALL in there and has been on-going since the days of Wilson.
This is NOT a war of Obama’s twisted ideology, it is a war to topple the USA and impose a FAILED system on us all. READ IT!
