Bloggers Beware – They’re Coming After You!
Just when you thought it was safe to start expressing your right to free speech, Democrats in Congress are gearing up for a vote on a new piece of legislation to blatantly undermine the First Amendment. Known as the DISCLOSE Act (HR 5175), this bill – written by the head of the Democrats’ congressional campaign committee – is their response to the recent Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In short, the Supreme Court found that the government could not restrict the free speech rights of individuals or other entities wishing to participate in the political dialogue.
It is hard to see how establishing a level playing field for free speech – as our Founding Fathers did by making it a right under the Constitution and which the Supreme Court upheld – is a threat to our democracy. Nevertheless, the White House and their allies on Capitol Hill see honest criticism as a threat to forcing their big government, liberal agenda through Congress. So, there is no time like the present – namely five months before an election – to start putting the muzzle on those individuals and organizations not sticking to the Democrats’ talking points.
Under the DISCLOSE Act, certain incorporated entities would be restricted in how they can exercise their free speech rights. There is an exemption for some in the media sphere like newspapers, TV news, and the like. However, there is one driving force in today’s public debate that is NOT exempt. Bloggers will not have the same exemption provided to other media sources. Never mind that the Supreme Court’s opinion in the Citizens United case stated, “Differential treatment of media corporations and other corporations cannot be squared with the First Amendment.”

People, write your congress and senate persons tell them to vote – NO – on this bill.
Email daily, send FAX'S, daily call – daily hourly if need be – drive them crazy, keep in mind their staff will determine how they vote.
If you piss off the staff to the point that they know their boss will get fired – and they will loose their jobs – get it.
So get busy, real busy.
What has happened to "Free Speach"? Has our Constitution been repealed by one individual that has to date destroyed our Country, put us in debt that we can never repay, and now threatened our very lives through his appointment of Criminals to high places! I have known from day one what Obama is. He is not my president, and as a US Army veteran, I am standing against him and will continue to stand against him because of the oath I took that says I am to defend this country against threats foreign and domestic.
He is a clear threat to the sovereignty of this nation. He is also a felon, and to me it is not enough that he be thrown out of office. I want to see him humiliated and booted back to Kenya since that's where he's from.

I have never believed this smooth talker. Momma always told me to beware of the smooth talkers for they would tell you one thing and do another. Sound familiar? I was born in 1940 so I have been around awhile. I have liked presidents that were not Republican because I have not always been a Republican, for I always believed in putting the best person in office. The only problem is that our children do not believe that because they do not teach the same things today that they taught when I was going to school.
I am also a widow of a veteran, so I know what my husband went through in defense of this country. He did not our president either because of his smooth talking ways. If our president wants my support he would have to repeal the heath care reform law, get rid of all his unconfirmed advisors and unelected appointees, then maybe a small maybe, but maybe I would at least listen to him. I am also a native born American so the immirgration situation is a big problem for me. We need to be sure that our borders are sucure, which they sure are not now.
