There is never a shortage of far-left garbage flowing from the lips of Harry Belafonte as he struggles to remain relevant six decades after first releasing the calypso music that made him famous.
The man once called George W. Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world” immediately before telling Venezuela’s Communist dictator Hugo Chavez he is among “millions of the American people” who “support your revolution.”
Belafonte is one of the rare humans capable of making Chris Matthews seem moderate by comparison.
His latest bout of verbal ignorance came when he weighed in on the ongoing gun debate. As he accepted an award at the NAACP Image Awards, he contended the “group most devastated by America’s obsession with the gun is African Americans.”
I strongly disagree with his assertion that Americans are obsessed with guns. The left certainly is, insofar as they are obsessed with taking them away; but conservatives are only obsessed with freedom and the individual liberty afforded in the Bill of Rights.
He does make a fairly reasonable point that blacks are disproportionately affected by gun violence, but that is precisely where his logic breaks down.
“The river of blood that washes the streets of our nation flows mostly from the bodies of our black children,” he stated. “Yet, as the great debate emerges on the question of the gun, white America discusses the constitutional issue of ownership while no one speaks of the consequences of our racial carnage.”
Laying the blame at the feet of the white man is certainly expedient, given his audience at the time, but completely belies the actual cause of such violence.
Using statistics from Chicago, a hotbed of gun violence and leftist stronghold of restrictive gun ownership laws, one can see that three-fourths of all murder victims were black between the years of 2003 and 2011. During that same time period, blacks were also the offenders in the same percentage of murder cases.
It has become boilerplate among leftist adherents to blame any societal ill befalling a minority on the oppression of the majority. Unfortunately, until these race-baiters choose to deal with the problems that actually exist – i.e. black-on-black crime – instead of conveniently targeting imagined institutionalized racism, we can never truly address appropriate remedies.
Many instigators in the progressive movement, though, have no desire to actually deal with the problem in any meaningful way. Maintaining the minority population’s distrust of the racist bogeymen around every corner only serves to keep them loyal to the Democrat Party.

No one is at fault for committing a crime except the criminal himself. It’s irresponsible and immature to blame a certain group for crimes committed by anyone. Each individual is responsible for his/her own behavior. If you commit a crime you have to do the time. “If you can’t do the time, then don’t commit the crime.” It’s as simple as that. I’m white, but I am NOT at fault for black crime, Belafonte. When you point the finger at someone, you point three fingers at yourself. Maybe you should look in the mirror for the cause of black crime, Belafonte, or look at the criminal politicians ruling our country right now.

More unborn black children are brutally murdered, by the millions, every year in America’s abortion(child-killing) mills than any other group. And you and the NAACP, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc. support and promote this holocaust. So, maybe you should look in the mirror and see who the really killers of black children are.

What made Belafonte so darn prejudice? His mama must have been racist, and taught him to be racist, I can only assume that he was beatened by mama when he was seen walking and playing with white friends and made to feel hate towards the white man thru those beatings. The poor guy had to live with this racism in his heart just to please his mama, and to keep from being killed by mama. I heard hiss mama would come to him in the middle of the night as he layed sleeping with a white sheet over her head, just to get him believing that the white man was coming to get him, scaring the heck out of him, then the next morning she would show him pictures of some black men being hung, but didn’t mention to him that it was black on black killings, but she would torment him with this trash telling him that the white man did this to black men, which was a lie. Now, the poor guy doesn’t know the difference between his hinee from his mama, they both spit out crap, and there is nothing he could do but sit in it.
Belefonte has some White in him. Just not enough to enjoy it. Lol. I can’t stand that treasonous ingrate.
Thanks to the bad white men he was able to sell his songs and became a rich man. Why does he conveniently forget that little detail.
I used to really think a lot of this guy; now that his true colors are coming out (and they aren’t Red Whie & Blue) I absolutely despise this hypocritical FAKE.

Fools never listen to logic…. that is why they are called fools. They choose to always blame others rather then facing the truth… I believe most of them know the truth, yet they don’t want to face the truth. They are so full of pride in themselves they don’t want to consider they are ever wrong in their thinking. A man’s pride in himself can destroy his soul, he doesn’t consider the consequences of his actions.
What bothers me the most is Mr. Belafonte’ statement: “The river of blood that washes the streets of our nation flows mostly from the bodies of our black children,” he fails to face the truth behind most issues.. The hate in his heart is embedded deep possible from many years of abuse from his parents or maybe it is just as simple as:
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 The majority of these deaths are black on black, fueled by sex, hate, alcohol and drugs in search of a better life.
Mr. Belafonte can make racist claims against others all day but it is he who is racist…. But there is still one other thing that bothers me about Mr. Belafonte, if he is so worried about the blood of black children why does he support Democrats who support the abortion agendas which claim the lives of approx. 1400 black babies per day here in America.?

This long gone from memory example of the current hate fostered by the Obama crowd has been forgotten by everyday America for decades now. I have over 2,500 songs in my music library. A LOT of them were done by black and hispanic artists and now exactly NONE by him. Has-beens like Harry are coming out of the woodwork and from under rocks to mouth hate-speak at the behest of the Hate Master in the Blight House in an attempt to regain some kind of recognition.

I am a white conservative male who, from the time I was born in 1936, knew and cared for many, many, black folks, had a black family doctor, went to school, worked, and played with blacks and did business with them most of my life! i grew up in the north but spent time in the south in the 50′s and was thrilled to see black discrimination slowly but surely vanish from America!
Then something changed! In the sixties the Democratic Part had a problem. They were the party who fought against, and lost the integration battle and they knew they had to find a way to get those votes. LBJ came up with the solution! Before a large number of blacks could pull themselves up the economic and social ladder, as they were in the process of doing, the Dems, under Johnson, created the ‘Great Society’ . The result was to reenslave a large number of blacks to dependency on government assistance
Many blacks are now, understandably bitter about their circumstances and so am I! But I am not to blame! And can do nothing to right the wrong as long as you keep whipping the wrong horse and worshiping the wrong savior!

uummm… wonder if it’s cause none of the blacks go past the 7th or 8th grade and didnt learn anything but stealing, raping, killing, car jacking and of course DOPING?
My mom’s a (was a) huge Harry Belafonte fan. At 86, one would think, just let it go. Well my mom, bless her heart, has her heart broken when she heard what this racist has been spewing lately. What really surprised me was she asked me to remove his albums and 8-tracks (yeap, 8-track) from the house, as she says she will not tolerate such vulger racism and obvious racist comments against her, her friends, and her country. Now they sit in two big boxes, just feet away from the garbage bin and will remain there, though I don’t think she is about to change her mind and let that stuff back in.
How can this man justify say this? Black on black crime has nothing to do with whites, its about drugs, ignorance, the glorification of crime in rap music and movies, the allure of making money without working for it and the feeding of their overinflated egos because they can kill someone. Latinos kill each other over drugs and turf and the mob kills for the same reason, but for some reason the black like to kill more often.
Henry should look in his own back yard to see why this is, I think he does but he wants to sway opinion to play the victim card to stack the deck for more special interest perks for his race. This is disgusting how a community that is mostly religious and conservative in nature could let their children grow up to be thugs, but then its mostly the inner city not the rural blacks that have this problem but its is spreading quickly because of the attraction and appeal of it to young men.
It not about white oppression or the “man” holding them down its about a mindset, ego and easy money.
People who love to hate others seem to be the general make up of the left. They are never for ideas that unite the family, uphold God’s laws, or make for a better society. No, the left prefers all the things that bring us destruction. The more perverted and sick it is, the better the left likes it. In other words, the left is led by satan, himself, and that the instruction being followed.

The mocking, the division, the indoctrinating, the demoralizing of the military, the spending America into oblivion, the confiscation of arms, the capturing of the media, giving away our security and siding with the enemies of this country. He is about there and we all know it. It is time, way past time, to put an end to this bunch in OUR White House who are engaging in an attempt to overthrow our government.

Wonder how many White people helped Harry Belefonte become the fameous man who has turned White hater? Wonder how many White people paved his way to fame? Talk about the hands that feed You? These people want to be White and are mad at God for making them black. On the other hand, with hearts that they have, had they been born White they would have wanted something different than who they are. These people have nothing going for them but greed and envy. Belefonte is nothing but a big mouth, getting to be a senile old fart who should have enjoyed what his White friends helped him to become. He is biting the very hands that fed him. His sorry old azz should be boycotted.
