BARNEY FRANK: NOT ALLOWING GAYS AND STRAIGHTS TO SHOWER TOGETHER IS ‘DISCRIMINATION’

Frank told CNSNews.com that the idea that people might be concerned over gays and straights showering together, and the possible disruption it could case, is a “silly issue”:

“To accept the principle that homosexuals can’t shower with other people is a degree of discrimination that goes far beyond this. We don’t get ourselves dry cleaned. We tend to take showers when we go to the gym; when we play sports,” Frank said.

  2. what would you expect an old homo to say. he probaly get off looking at other men.get him an bho out of office an people like them they are runing the country.god help us all.a viet nam vet

    • Im with you Dave.
Just because Im a lesbian trapped in a man's body doesn't mean I can shower with the ladies does it?
How Frank stays in office is beyond me. Ever see his testimony/remarks in
senate committee about the housing crunch that lead to this financial debacle we are in? It didn't start with Bush…. Or clinton… Traitors do less to harm the country than those who are like minded with this dillweed.

      • "Just because Im a lesbian trapped in a man's body doesn't mean I can shower with the ladies"

Not until you complete your surgery. ;-)

        • Edwardkoziol says:

You must be a racist talking like that and the surgery should be done on you.

          • Gary in Colo says:

Wow, I can't believe that James just committed one of those "Hate Crimes"
comments that all the liberals say should be considered a "Hate Crime"?

And if a conservative said what James just said?

          • Geez, and you conservatives are the ones always complaining that people can't take a joke (offered in reply to Corky's own humor). You did notice the "wink," right? But I apologize, to you, Ed, Corky or anyone else who was offended.

          • Gary in Colo says:

Surely, Al Sharpton doesn't see when Rush is joking.
But, hey a new progressive apologetic society is what it's all about, right James?
Good to see you apologize so quickly!

          • Unlike too many ideologues on both sides, I don't think it a weakness to apologize when I've unintentionally offended someone–as opposed to when I do it on purpose, to make a point, as we all do here. Merry Christmas, Gary.

          • Gary in Colo says:

I have to attend all our mandatory "harasment" classes and refreshers
whenever they come due and they do emphasize the part about
"even in joking" as it can become difficult for some to differentiate.
(esp. when some lawer is present for the defendee's side.)
Point is these people like Barney wouldn't take anything as a joke.
I got both your's and Corky's. There is a small bar in Manitou Springs, CO
where a friend tried that line if that hints at what type of bar it is.

          • Huh? How is that "racist"?

          • Edwardkoziol says:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family unless you're with the ACLU

          • I am an ACLU member. And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, anyway.

  3. May I ask, who in MassaChewsits keeps voting these Fruitloops into office?

Can anyone from that state please tell us why????????????

  4. Edwardkoziol says:

Barney Franks gets off at looking at other men, when his boyfriend was running his gay whorehouse Barney was probably using a peephole to watch.I understand Barney now wants the army to take down the crossed swords banner/flag and have crossed penises.Barney is throwing a party for the repeal of DADT policy in the Gay State(formerly the Bay State)

  5. While watching this interview, I'm wondering how many of you caught the comment by Rep. Frank about not accepting showering with gays. "… if you don't, then why are you in the military?" If you didn't catch it, go back and watch it again; it's there. Why do I focus on this? Simple, if you analyze the reasoning put forth by that statement, it reveals what their true agenda is… taking down the military by infiltrating it and morphing it to reflect their veiws. And, if you don't like it, you can leave, or not join. There you have it! Change and control through intollerance of differening views than theirs.

  6. Personally, I don't care if there are gays in a shower of a gym with me. In fact, as Frank points out, no doubt most of us have been through such a situation and didn't even realize it. But that's not the point I'm driving at here. My point is how the progressives are operating – just like radical Muslims with their Sharia law demands in our country – using our own system against us, slowly changing social attitudes of greater and greater acceptance and away from anything resembling any principles of morality or spirituality, and dismantling the structure which made our country great. God forgive us for being so gulible! Remember, a nation of sheep emboldens a government of wolves.

  7. ROBERT AUGERI says:

First Barney Franks is a homo himself. His view on this issue should not have asked. If he feels men in the Armed Forces should shower with gay people. Then why does the branches of the service have seperate showers for women and men that are Hetersexuals. This issue is going to ruin the military. What will we call our military now Fags incorporated.

  8. Why in hell does ANYONE in their right mind pay any attention to that ugly OLD fag Frank?
What an absolute disgusting individual he/it is. I think (if he had a mother) they saved the afterbirth
    and threw the child away.

  9. Two dozen other nations–including most of our significant allies–allow gays to serve in the military and have no problem with it. I assume that our military can do as well as they do.

    • Gary in Colo says:

      Which ones?

      • In alphabetical order: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Uruguay.

    • we dont give a hoot about what the europeans do – they are already socialist states. we give a hoot about America. what a lame statement…….so the lemmings all jumped off the cliff. that means we should do it too?

      • My comment was that I assume our military can handle it. Do you disagree? And what are you afraid of, Louis?

      • Edwardkoziol says:

Louis Jim is a member of the ACLU so you know they stand for anything that real Americans don't believe in like God,our laws they want to adopt european type laws.

        • Are you afraid of gays, too, Ed? As for the ACLU, you notice that even Rush doesn't feel obligated to bash them as much since they helped with his defense?

          • Edwardkoziol says:

Not really afraid of them because I have 2 good friends who are gay but they sure as hell don't go out of their way to broadcast their lifestyle. As far as the ACLU goes every once in a while they do get something right but I'd still like to picket their houses and make life miserable for them like they try to do for the majority.I guess you feel the minorities should rule because that's the way you think. When I was a kid majority ruled and America was great now because of people like you and obuma we we wil be a third rate country.China,Russia and then possibly the US.

          • "I guess you feel the minorities should rule"

If so, I guess I'd just be agreeing with Senate Republicans who when they became the minority used phony filibuster rules and one-person "holds" far more often than ever before in history to keep legislation from passing. Where–outside of the Senate–does a "majority" require 60 percent to pass something?

And speaking of majority rule, most Americans–including most members of the service–favored the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." So why don't you, if you're truly a believer in "majority rule"?

And finally, China owned us long before Obama took office. Just take a look at where most of your Christmas presents for the past ten years have been made.

          • Edwardkoziol says:

The republicans are forced to filibuster and besides they learned how to filibuster and screw people from the democrats like Ted Kennedy thank God he's gone. And as far as my Christmas present we have our children save their money and my wife and I instead of giving each other gifts donate to the American Indians in the west because of the poverty they live in.This country worries about some stinking wetback illegals instead of real americans and you being so smart always trying to show your superiority over people who aren't as good with words must remember the Spanish stole Mexico and southwest and west from the Indians.

          • "republicans are forced to filibuster"

Forced by what? Only by their desire to circumvent the will of the Senate majority. Either you're for majority rule or you're not, Ed–you can't have it both ways.

And for all his many faults, Kennedy was among the best among the Senate at working with the other side and following the will of the majority when he was on the losing side.

And yes, the Spanish stole land from the Indians. So did the United States, herding the Indians onto reservations, and we also stole land from the Mexicans, giving us California,Texas and Arizona. What's your point?

          • Gary in Colo says:

"most members of the service–favored the repeal of "Don't Ask"
James, James, that was Obama's survey that included non-combatant
counselors and military wives, etc. that could hardly really even be considered
military. But (Barney loves that word) as far as real military men who serve
real combat roles and are included in whom this policy change would really
directly effect, there was very little support in favor.

          • I've seen mixed results on that score, with younger servicemen (and top brass) more likely to favor repeal than older members. Of course I'd also point out that the military isn't a democratic operation–even fewer military folks supported racial integration than now support repeal of DADT, and the military has become a societal model for the rest of society in that regard.

    • Of Those Two-Dozen Nations Commie ACLU Teacher James McPheewww Your More Than Welcome To Go, Yippee, Beings You Do Not Like The USA Teacher.

      • "Beings You Do Not Like The USA"

Actually I like it a lot–even more under this leader than under the previous one, though I've been a true patriot regardless of who was in power. That's why I don't advocate such nonsense as illegal coups or assume that there must be some nefarious worldwide conspiracy every time my side loses an election.

And as for "not liking the USA," it seems to me that conservatives are doing most of the whining about the current state of America–so why don't YOU leave?

  10. P.E. Johnson says:

Hypothetical situation: Two militaty males are in the shower. A gay guy makes an unwanted/unsolicitated advance to straight guy. What recourse does the gay guy have for the straight guy rejecting his advance??? Call in the ACLU????

  11. iMPEACHoBLUNDER says:

THE NEXT TIME I AM IN A FOX HOLE WITH A FAG. I WILL GET THE ENEMEYS WEAPON AND SHOOT THE GAY S SORRY ASS. pROBLEM SOLVED.

    • Gee, who would Jesus frag? And what are you afraid of–that you'd be attracted to him, or that he wouldn't be attracted to you? I assume you're male, since women tend to be both braver and less prejudiced than you are.

Nice use of capital letters, though, and tough talk from a homophobe who doesn't even have the guts to use his own name when commenting on a friendly blog (and how are you going to get "the enemy's weapon"–though I assume you say that because it might come back on you if you shot someone in the back with your own?)

In truth I can't imagine you'd ever be in a foxhole, unless that's what you call the place where you hide when you hear a scary noise. But Merry Christmas to you; you must have a sad and pitiful life to be resorting to offering garbage such as this on any day, let alone Christmas.
