On September 17, 2010, President Barack Obama spoke to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 33rd Annual Award Gala. During his speech – reading from a teleprompter – he quoted from the Declaration of Independence. Here is what he said: “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain unalienable rights, life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Perhaps his teleprompter (still) can’t handle the phrase “endowed by our Creator”! Given the man’s penchant for avoiding the helm of the ship of state, his devious handlers give his teleprompter things to parrot with his convincing stentorian voice.

The Declaration of Independence defines the Constitution philosophically and spiritually, therefore in Beauty and its Author. “Progressives” have argued for years, quite successfully, that the Constitution is a living, breathing document, standing alone from its origins in the Declaration of Independence. It is subject to change as the mores of the times change. The Declaration, they say, was a motivational statement designed to gather support for the “real” document – the Constitution. Remember, Obama told Vladimir Putin in 2009 that “for all practical purposes, the Constitution is dead!”

The Declaration has several key elements that set the moral and philosophical basis for the Constitution. If one were to seek the “sought after ideal” for a form of government, it would be structured according to American philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce’s view of the normative sciences of Philosophy in the order of Beauty, Ethics and Logic – BEL. A single document like the Constitution is really a Cartesian nightmare without a moral basis that acquires its authority and blessings outside the reach of faulty humanity.

The Declaration is primarily a Document of Beauty because it recognizes Natural Law; self evident truths; and the endowment by our Creator of our universal right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It also runs a litany of abuses to demonstrate the false logic of despotic or “progressive” rule. This has been a battlefield of politics and the spirit since time immemorial. Here, the enemy is met and defeated. The price of hard-won liberty is eternal vigilance and great personal and national sacrifice. We haven’t done well lately…

The most insidious of the listed abuses are “acts of pretended legislation” that lead to “sending out agents to eat out the people’s substance.” When reading all the complaints against the king, it is apparent that under our Constitution, dishonest, evil, and often unneeded additions or amendments to necessary legislation are discouraged. It has become accepted practice, however, to use needed legislation as a Trojan horse to sneak in laws and interpretations that could not stand on their own. They put burdens on the people and create special favors at the expense of others. The 2010 Health Care bill launched 159 new agencies “to eat out the people’s substance.” Any bill over 50-100 pages in length is to be held suspect and its perpetrators looked upon with contempt if not treason. Recent legislation, obviously prepared well before the 2008 elections, tends to run between 600 and 3,000 pages. No good has come of that, fiscally, morally, or to the benefit of the wider populace, excluding those and their satraps able to extract tribute from the people!

The Declaration of Independence is pure Beauty as it is based on Nature’s God, Natural Law, and the principles of  subsidiarity and solidarity. It also warns of the evils of intrusive government, giving the citizen a basis for discernment of good and evil practice. It’s denigration is a powerful tool for traitors and despots. It’s adherence drives them into the pit they came from.

From the time the Catholic Church established the university system in the so-called Dark Ages, when scientific method was devised at the Cathedral School at Chartres, a lively exchange of ideas in science, philosophy, theology, law, and the arts has been the fuel to advance Western Civilization.  Built on the best of Roman and Greek civilizations, she made course corrections that ultimately draw on the promise of redemption God gave our first parents. Adam and Eve paid the price for their own failure to exercise their authority over creation given to humanity made in His image and likeness. Cains and Abels have contested in the search for truth ever since. No human endeavor or institution is now or ever has been exempt from this struggle between good and evil. Our job is to do something about it as good stewards, not mockers and penalizers.

Today, Academia’s gift to civilization is not lively discourse in an honest quest for truth, but phony, stilted diversity and political correctness, which I call “the manifestation of the spirit of antichrist.” Academia has a disdain for faith, reason, and a quest for the innocence Jesus taught was the key to the kingdom. They have opted for the sewer of perversion and debt on their students whose qualifications for honest endeavor in the free market are more than seriously compromised.

The absent-minded professor, who is deep in contemplation in his search for truth, was always eager to share his knowledge with his students. These are few and far between today. Having eschewed faith and reason, the modern arrogant academic is more likely to steal his students’ thoughts and perpetrate lies over consideration of multiple sources of information that lead to honest conclusions.

Dr. Thomas Woods’ book “How the Catholic Church Built Civilization” provides some major course corrections dealing with the current persecution of faith and reason by forces in high places as well as the pit of hell.  With a new Pope on the horizon, maybe its time to see what it means to all of us and why “progressives” hate believers so – whether Catholic or not.

Our children’s opportunities to learn based on technological advances has been more than offset by the loss of appreciation of literature and the humanities – including history, theology, philosophy and even economics. Our old friend Jon T. Barton, a classical violinist wrote an 800 page 2 volume work called “The Bible in Western Literature.” He co-authored with attorney John Whitehead a 1981 book, “Schools on Fire” – a prophetic work warning of the now deplorable and unnecessarily expensive condition of American education.

I met a young man recently with a degree in “Environmental Studies” from screwball UCal/Santa Cruz, home of the Banana Slugs. His student loan is $90,000 and he still can’t get a job. His girlfriend has a degree in Psychology and is only $60,000 in debt and can’t get a job either. In a two class society, only the wealthy and their satraps will be able to get a college education.

My Grandson’s Saudi ex-roommate at University of Alaska/Anchorage rolled out his prayer mat then went out to play. He wasn’t hungry to learn so he was happy to return home to his Ferrari’s and servants – compliments of American technology and insane energy, environmental and foreign policies. The “progressives” have created the biggest educational jerk circle in history and we all let them get away with it. History hasn’t been kind to such nations and empires. We’re intelligent enough to turn it around, but are we wise enough?

With the prevailing attitude that every kid should go to college or he’s a loser, we’ve lost much of our ability to make things, provide employment for all skill and intellectual levels and to maintain infrastructure and beauty. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are classic examples of men who eschewed college to avoid stifling their creativity or be drawn into the perverse world of political correctness. I want my grandkids to think out of their own boxes before they get destroyed by academia and debt as they set their life goals.

My old Cockney friend Leon Shaw made a part for my rare Omega Sea Master watch when Omega in NY couldn’t fix it. He also repaired Big Ben in London and dozens of ancient fancy gold embellished clocks from Brentwood after the earthquake in LA. He even rebuilt a cheap Chinese lathe and converted it to a precision auto-feed miniature parts turning lathe. He made all the stable vortex flowmeter and nozzle parts we designed and tested. He was a displaced Brit after WWII when England took a dive like the “progressives” are doing to us now. Their brain drain helped improve our once vaunted “Yankee ingenuity” – now better known as “Yangtze ingenuity” for obvious reasons.

My boys made usable kitchen spatula’s at Bakersfield’s Chipman JHS in the 1970’s. They learned to measure, cut, file, bend, forge, drill, grind, carve, polish and rivet – all needed to make a simple wood-handled aluminum spatula. We still have one and use it regularly.

Our young people of all backgrounds must be our pride and joy. Our hope and prayer for them is to creatively apply their considerable gifts and talents while growing in wisdom and grace. Who could ask for anything more?

Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” are exercised against me every day. I come home all beat up, forced to get hit again and again. Why do I have to put up with it when I was taught not to play with thugs dedicated to Lucifer as Alinsky proudly “honored” his Rules? We suffer vilifying in the endless stump speeches of an insincere President who acts like the beast of this false prophet Alinsky. It has produced an out of control bureaucracy, a complicit and lazy media, and an ill-informed people; I have to get hammered with this nonsense instead of having a serious discussion based on truth and the beauty of our great country.

Where Alinsky and his disciples refer to the enemy, they are referring to you and me! As Luciferian weapons of spiritual warfare, diversity, political correctness, lying, and mockery are at the front line. If you follow the news every day, you will see these tactics expertly applied against “the enemy” (you and me) in employment, business, education, and everyday life. Surely we must expect something better in our blessed Constitutional Republic! Alinsky states:

1. Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.

2. Never go outside the expertise of your people.

3. Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.

4. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy.

7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.

12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

“It’s an ill bird that fouls its own nest.” The thoughtful reader need not delve too deep to see the rules are effectively designed as a means of deception and to reduce the opponent (you, me, and our elected representatives or candidates) to ineffectiveness by lies and character assassination. Sadly, these rules are the core of the “progressive” movement modulated in political correctness and diversity defined as class and racial warfare. These coupled with an intrinsically evil monetary system that extracts tribute from those who create its value have been applied by too many people and institutions that ought to know better.

When you hear “diversity” from the seared conscience of the “progressive,” that means racial, ethnic, and even sexual preference… a far cry from the infinite range of gifts and talents of any people. Consider the Declaration of Independence; “… endowed by our Creator…” True diversity is found in that endowment – the endless possibilities found when people can communicate and work together. The USA made it big because it added the rare element – opportunity!

When we wake up and realize the nature of this battle between what Pope Benedict correctly calls “the Culture of Death” vs. “the Culture of Life,” perhaps we’ll begin to use or own far more formidable weapons to defeat “the accuser of the brethren.” I’m tired of playing in Saul Alinsky’s back yard with his thugs and by his rules.

There is a perfect and ordered antidote for the poison of “progressivism” that is leading us to a one world government under fascism or Sharia. Both are two-class societies that define a “Culture of Death.” The order of priority is critical in our thinking and creative processes. Human discourse and creative activity can best be found in nine points our Founding Fathers must have had more than an inkling of. There is great hope to develop a middle class with its infinite opportunities to rise above one’s station in life – to succeed – to fail – to try again. I like to call it “The Fountain of Opportunity and Prosperity.”

1. Beauty – Endowment by our Creator – Highest level of human discourse; spiritual, structural, and personal beauty, art, music, and literature – The Declaration of Independence

2. Ethics – Define Moral, Ethical, and Political Boundaries – The Constitution of the United States.

3. Logic – Defend Beauty – Define Logic from Multiple Inferences – The Bill of Rights

4. Subsidiarity – Self Reliance; Levels of Help when needed include strict Time and Involvement, Limits on Government

5. Solidarity – One Nation under God, love of country, appreciation of natural beauty, community and resources and their care.

6. Chaos – Unexpected Opportunities Presented – spontaneously exploiting opportunities to meet others, invent, create, and serve.

7. High Touch – Key Component in Design, Construction, and Maintenance; Music, Art, and Literature.

8. High Tech – The Whole Process of Discovery and Development – “Subdue the earth, be fruitful and multiply…” Be so much in awe that stewardship is natural, not forced.

9. High Finance – The Enabling Servant of all the above. Money spent – not loaned – into existence per the Founders’ intent – each dollar circulating 9 times in the economy – “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” – Those whose wealth in money or talent is willingly shared with the helpless or an aspiring talent.

This priority list didn’t come out of thin air, but in the timeless human pursuit for meaning and accomplishment in life. America’s greatest Philosopher, Charles Sanders Peirce, saw a proper ordering of the normative sciences of Philosophy as: Beauty, Ethics, and Logic (BEL). In the “progressive world, Beauty is in the sewer of debt and depravity instead of being the top priority. Logic is consistently based on false premises, leading to faulty and deadly Ethics (LEB).”

Subsidiarity and Solidarity must function in combination. They are clarified in Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical “Caritas in Veritate” – Charity in truth. I added the Chaos that brings unexpected opportunities, chance meetings, and the infinite permutations and combinations of events and inspirations we see in every day life. “E pluribus unum” combined with the opportunity to rise above one’s station we Americans have always been blessed with – often in spite of ourselves.

High Touch and High Tech come from John Naisbitt’s 1980 book “Megatrends”, where he accurately projected coming events with the rise of technology and appreciation for things of beauty. I added High Finance as Enablement – as servant, not master as found in the multistory outhouse of “progressivism.”

It is time to put the melody back into music * Pride into appearance * Courtesy into driving * Romance into love * Commitment into marriage * Responsibility into parenthood * Togetherness into the family * Learning into education * Service into patriotism * Nativity scenes in the city square * Civility into behavior * Refinement into language * Dedication into employment * Prudence into spending * Ambition into achievement and God recognized as our endowing Creator in the halls of government and education from the home to the outer reaches of academia.

In an era where lying has become an art form, is it possible to hold those who take a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution to that pledge of honor and responsibility?

The oath to be taken by the president on first entering office is specified in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

The Constitution (Article VI, clause 3) requires that Senators and Representatives take an oath of office to support the Constitution. It reads:

I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

The military officer’s oath is similar. Solemn oaths are very serious business; an elected or hired official or military officer takes within his or her hands power over the lives and welfare of one person, or 350 million.

The Presidential oath being taken on January 21, 2013 must discern where the officeholder’s heart is and what level of power he lusts for. The same holds true for all who dare make that solemn promise while looking into 350 million pairs of eyes…

The Founders were common in their belief in the core teachings of the Bible as is over 80% of the American population. The inscription on George Washington’s tomb – designed by him, reads: “I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” (John 1: 25-26)

(Did he want himself remembered as a “deist”?)

It is from this belief that the core principle of the Constitution found in the Declaration finds meaning: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Would it be an understatement to say that few other than our beleaguered military take their oaths of office seriously? Renewed or newfound Love of Country is the easiest way to reverse the mortal danger he and the nation he uses are facing. The opposite of love is not hate, but use! One who truly loves cannot use the beloved, willing to lay down his life for her/him. That is what oaths are all about! The Founders saw that swearing an oath upon the Bible was natural and binding.

Today, we have three problems:

1. Swearing on the Bible as above with no intention of upholding that solemn promise. The current President actually believes the Constitution is “dead for all practical purposes” (as stated to Vladimir Putin in 2009.) Too many public servants take the oath as a rite of passage with no binding responsibilities. That must change. Now!

2. Swearing to uphold the Constitution on the Qur’an (Koran) is oxymoronic in that the holy book of the Muslims is also a theocratic code of laws strictly observed with severe penalties. It is called Sharia (Law). Buddhists, Hindus, Shintos, Sikhs, Jews, and almost the entire world’s ways of connecting with our Creator have found a place within the framework of freedom the Constitution affords. Some will always struggle because of local prejudices, but they all have the foundation of freedom to stand and build on. Not so under Sharia.

3. After years of political correctness, misguided social justice, and divisive diversity, the American people have been conditioned to be influenced by a drive to totalitarian rule. One of Alinsky’s protégés, the young lawyer Barack Hussein Obama, became its most powerful and persuasive adherent. He should take the oath on “Rules for Radicals.” (Alinsky dedicated “Rules” to Lucifer.)

Listed below are the basic tenets of the “Rules for Radicals” bible. Some call it good politics. I call it spiritual warfare. (Note: righteous citizens, elected, hired, and military are the “enemy” referred to here. My comments are in parentheses)

1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” (And boy have we let them bamboozle us with political correctness and the ACLU!)

2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” (Done consistently, in every aspect of life – health, education, welfare, environment, energy, religion, and labor, then lied about)

3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” (Not likely, but “progressives” will even lie about the obvious.)

4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” (We should “put on the whole armor of God” – it might feel good for a change!)

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon”. (Ask Congress, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, etc.)

6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” (He who laughs last…)

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” (Exceeds their own expertise and is ultimately exposed for the lies the tactic is built from. Progressives get bored because they exceed their own knowledge or capability to understand technology or stewardship.)

8. “Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.” (A daily does of new crises, talking points with the complicit 5th Column in the mainstream media)

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” (Health care, fiscal cliff, debt ceiling, ad nauseum)

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” (They are masters at it; but when their house of cards crumbles, they’ll cry like babies.)

11. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside…” (Love conquers all, but tough love is what is needed here.)

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” (With cadres “eating out the peoples’ substance,” they are ready every day with thousands of new rules and highly-paid operatives to seek to enforce them.)

13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” (Republicans have been suckered into this deep freeze for decades, with the only reprieve being under President Ronald Reagan. They will never love you, and the 5th Column media will never be on your side.)

Anyone who has faced a bully, spent time pondering Scripture, or reading history sees we are engaged in all-out spiritual warfare. While political strategies are critical, the war must be fought on the spiritual plane.

On April 14, 2005, I was privileged to be asked to read Washington’s prayer over his very tomb at Mt. Vernon. This circular was directed to the Governors and States of the new nation; his reference to them has been replaced by the words “the United States.” Otherwise, the words and spelling are those of General Washington:

I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have the United States in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government. To entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another, for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Fields, and finally, that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion (a paraphrase of Micah 6:8), and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation. Amen.

Now we too must pray and act!

That was the almost pornographic headline in my local “progressive” paper. It also carried a huge photo of an enraged Gov. Chris Christie railing over the House failure to pass a relief bill for the needy victims of Superstorm Sandy. True enough, but as much as I’m disappointed with the Republican leadership, you have to give them credit for splitting this pork bloated bill into two parts – putting off the inevitable pork fest for a few months. The Sandy victims will finally get some help, but the Republicans will have assured credit go to the totalitarian-in-chief.

My friend, Dr. Kevin Collins, who posts on his blog www.coachisright.com and allows me an occasional post, forestalled a trip to his Florida second home to stay and help run relief efforts on Staten Island with a local Knights of Columbus chapter. He’s in great health, a member of MENSA, but no spring chicken. The man, alongside hundreds of others giving their time and treasure have worked to exhaustion to help these folks. The Feds have a role, albeit a generous and short-termed one (subsidiarity, you know!)

Gov. Christie must be among those legions of elected officials who only read Democratic (nauseating) talking points duly echoed by a complicit media. The bill was not just for Superstorm Sandy relief, but our ubiquitous elected representatives stuffed it with pork. With all due respect to my Muslim and Jewish brothers, this is even unacceptable to little old Catholic me who loves pork chops and apple sauce. Little old Catholic Boehner saw right through Ms. Nancy and Dirty Harry’s Luciferian plans and squashed them – for now.

Stuffing bills with pork is a time-honored political habit that will be hard to break. It might go a long way to restoring constitutional law and reduce our children’s burden if we did. The rest of this article is just about that idea, so read on….

When Chief Justice John Roberts asked if the defenders of Obamacare expected SCOTUS to review all 2,700 pages of this overreaching law, he posed a question that should have been asked 100 years ago during countless other deliberations. It made no more sense to the Court than it did to Charlie Rangel – or any well-intentioned lawmaker or bureaucrat. Tea Partiers formed committees to take on 20 pages each among them. It wasn’t pretty! Ms. Nancy still claims her Congress took the Constitution into consideration. Lesson 1: Always listen to your local Tea Partier!

Lawmakers have their overpaid fun for a while, but bureaucrats make careers out of draconian rules, harassment, and fines to justify their existence. So much for term limits!

If things are ever to turn around, lawmaking and bureaucracy must incorporate “Subsoil” – personal responsibility, and “e pluribus unum” into the wonderful Chaos of human interaction and proper government oversight. Then there is a chance to preserve the American Way of Life in our Constitutional Republic..

Five important questions should be consistently asked, truthfully answered, and applied with integrity when writing legislation and running any resulting bureaucracy:

  • Will this new law help or hurt initiative or personal responsibility?
  • Does the legislation or the bureaucracy it authorizes equally benefit the wider community?
  • Will this legislation put people or regions in a creative or entrepreneurial strait jacket?
  • Will the legislation encourage and maximize private enterprise and employment without requiring major government oversight?
  • Is the legislation less than 100 pages in length, devoid of selective privileges and unrelated attachments and riders?

Entitlements discourage individuals from challenging and motivating themselves. Are the people allowed to do their best when challenged? There will always be hard-to-define needs of the helpless that should largely be handled locally, especially in the long term. We’re all needy – we’re not all helpless!

Individual and community initiative and uniqueness must never be subordinated to a rigid plan for central control through taxes, financial manipulations, or bureaucratic overreach. Challenges and competitions between communities would be far more productive by exhorting beauty and quality rather than harassment and fines. Draconian bills of great length are by definition what the Founders called “pretended legislation” filled with taxpayer poison pills and bureaucratic license. We must no longer pass bills so we can see what’s in them. If a bill is too long, it becomes impossible to analyze and critique its veracity and constitutionality before the damage is done. SCOTUS brought that home loud and clear in the Obamacare preliminary hearings. The Congress voted on the 150+ page “Fiscal Cliff” bill within 15 minutes of receiving it. I’m no speed reader, but this is an awesome feat of gross misfeasance of office that we and our children will pay for.

“Progressives” have long held the Declaration of Independence as legally unfettered from their view of a “living, breathing Constitution.” They are horrified by the critical and foundational truth “endowment by our Creator” – even omitting the phrase from patriotic-sounding Presidential speeches. There’s more to the moral, spiritual, and philosophical basis of the Constitution than defining “inalienable rights” coming from God.  The Founders’ statements in the Declaration are in bullet points. My observations of these statements are in (parentheses).

There are no new sins of despots, only new spins for undefined change and the tiresome, “Hey get with it, it’s the 18th, 19th, 20th and now the 21st Century” as if the human hunger for freedom and need to observe natural law change with the whims of the arrogant-ignorant. The “21st Century Get with It” crowd exposes the damage done by the aggressors in this modern spiritual war – yes it is spiritual warfare, like it or not.

These direct quotes from the Declaration of Independence need no further explanation. The chronicled history of the Founders is noted as follows:

  • “…repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world:”
  • He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good (energy, monetary, and foreign policy to destroy our economy and enrich his cronies and our enemies – even to spilling American blood and treasure to install laws and constitutions foreign to and opposed to our Constitution and human freedom.)
  • He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance (illegal immigration over the normal process of welcoming new peoples, maintaining the peace, opposing the Constitution and the citizen’s right of self defense), unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
  • He has dissolved representative houses repeatedly, for opposing with ‘manly’ firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. (Bypassing Congress, creating an ineffective Senate incapable of presenting a budget or responding to bills passed by the House; by Executive Orders, overturning initiatives approved overwhelmingly by the people – immigration policy, marriage under natural law between a man and woman.)
  • He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the legislative powers, incapable of annihilation, have returned to the people at large for their exercise; the state remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within (Occupy anarchism, union thuggery, voter fraud, failure to enforce the borders, establishing an opposing ‘civilian defense force as strong and well-funded as the military.’)
  • He has endeavored to prevent the population of these states; for that purpose obstructing the laws for naturalization of foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither, and raising the conditions of new appropriations of lands (Removing lands from resource exploration and development, draconian EPA and development regulations, minimum and prevailing wage demands to eliminate competition and compromise free enterprise by driving up the cost of doing business and destroying entry-level job opportunities in favor of union control.)
  • He has obstructed the administration of justice, by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers (Appointing judges who have disdain for the Constitution, even though they solemnly swear to uphold it – in league with all too many elected and bureaucratic officials.)
  • He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance (Obamacare, alone with its 159 new agencies and selective privileges in green, health, education, welfare, and union venues. A 312 page set of rules for light bulbs went into effect on 1/1/13.)
  • He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation: (Conspiring with international financial speculators and passing laws so complicated and indiscernible that they are loaded with special privileges, poison pills, and bureaucratic license such as that being used to attack businesses, citizens, Judaism, and Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular. No law should exceed one specific subject area or 100 pages in length; or it is, by definition, pretended legislation.)

By applying Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and Cloward and Pivens strategies, the Administration and its cronies are overwhelming the system with harassment and untenable regulations, creating dependency within a large segment of the population through ignorance of our laws, traditions, and history; and usurping the parental role and responsibility for raising children in favor of the state. Over 1,300 days have passed since the Senate provided a Constitutionally required budget while refusing to act on House bills passed to carry out Constitutional duties the people elected them for and they swore to uphold.

We all know the same tactics have ultimately failed throughout history at the cost of hundreds of millions of lives amid horrible human suffering and destruction of the works and dreams of many by the sword, the bomb, and the torch. We know better that a Constitutional Republic under God works extraordinarily well and must be restored, or we will suffer the fate of civilizations that came before us. Sadly, the Fourth Estate of the media has become the Fifth Column of complicity rather than the guardians on the ramparts of freedom. Most of the Academy has become the home of political correctness and anarchy at the cost of polite and intelligent discourse.

When the Declaration was written, it was in opposition to long-established colonial power from afar. Declaring independence was the logical means of separation. Today, it is the usurpation of human and Constitutional rights of an established and successful nation. Today, the same offenses must be named and acted on for what it appears to me to be treason!

We have ignored the Declaration and paid the price! Moral issues aside, it costs 3 to 4 times as much for government to usurp community responsibilities for the corporal and spiritual works of mercy – health, education, and welfare, resulting in not only loss of freedom, but gaining a growing mountain of debt. Isn’t it time we re-examine our legacy? We owe it to our founders, to our children, and to Almighty God – regardless of race, ethnicity, or party affiliation. We owe it to our own survival as a people and a nation.

What did the Founders mean by “pretended legislation” in the Declaration of Independence? Are things different today in our lust for power? We don’t need another Alinskyite bombastic oration by a President. Nor do we need statesmen and legislators who have drifted far from their solemn oaths to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. The current flap over the “fiscal cliff” is merely symptomatic of broad ignorance of or disdain for the Constitution. “Progressives” are quick to point out their erroneous view that the Declaration has nothing to do with the Constitution. The Declaration is mostly known for its definitive statement that all men are created equal and are “endowed by their Creator with an inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The Declaration also laments the king at length. E.g., “He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation.”

  • “Combined with others”: In any form of government, there will always be interests competing for security of position and a piece of the pie. Corporations, unions, currency manipulators, speculators, academicians, lawyers, and others of despotic mind all jockey for power and money. How many seek justifiable profit by producing useful goods and services in a truly capitalistic system wherein money is the servant of exchange, not the master of debt?

Most of us are primarily interested in pursuing careers, raising families, enjoying life, and making meaningful contributions to society with our gifts and talents. We elect representatives to keep passions and usuries under control. An arena of fair play where all may have the opportunity to prosper does not include selected privileges for any racial or ethnic group or “deserving” union or corporation. No guarantees, just the opportunity to win or lose and try again within “the laws of Nature and Nature’s God” reflected in the Ethics of the Constitution and the Logic of the Bill of Rights.

  • “Jurisdiction foreign to our constitution”: There are groups and individuals in all three branches of government and their bureaucracies that believe our Constitution is outdated or dead – including the President especially. Even some past and present Supreme Court justices look to international law and the constitutions of various other nations for something new and more capable of manipulation. That explains why they hate the Declaration, which is the moral, spiritual, and philosophical base of the Constitution.
  • “Unacknowledged by our laws”: Recess appointments and Executive Orders are being applied with abandon as the Administration thumbs its nose at the House of Representatives, which it is currently striving to destroy. Pundits have been saying the Administration is out to destroy the Republican Party. The Republican Establishment doesn’t need any help from the Administration. In my opinion, it is out to destroy the Congress.
  • With the compromised Senate blocking all normal legislative channels, recess appointments and Executive Orders are easily accomplished since it is also the Senate that is empowered to impeach elected officials for irresponsible and treasonous actions that are legion today.
  • “Acts of pretended legislation”: Today, pretended legislation means conspiring with international financial speculators and passing laws so complicated and indefinable that they are loaded with select privileges, poison pills, and bureaucratic license that “eat out the people’s substance.”

Politicians and lobbyists would hate it for a while; but the first remedy should be declaring that no law should exceed one specific subject area or 100 pages in length, or it is by definition “pretended legislation.” It took only 27 pages to launch the Interstate Highway System!

By applying Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and Cloward and Pivens strategies, the Administration and its cronies are intentionally overwhelming the system with harassment, untenable regulations, fines, and lawsuits, and they are surrendering our sovereignty. It took “progressives” a long time to dumb down the population and create a dependency of entitlement.

They have created population dependency through ignorance of our laws, traditions, and history. They are actively usurping parents’ roles and responsibilities for raising children. The state has no capacity for love to raise children or care for the needy. Nor does it have any competence in the fields of health, education, and welfare. These are local responsibilities except in dire emergencies.

For starters, we must compartmentalize legislation into bite-size segments and restructure our monetary system where money is created against value, not interest-bearing debt. Our constitutionally-sworn representatives have a lot of older legislation to repeal and bureaucrats to retrain into honest occupations to avoid wasting their God-given gifts and talents.

Do we ever make the best choices to build and serve a great nation?

A dollar given is a dollar received by the one in need, yet;

It costs $1.20 in donations to deliver $1 in services;

It costs $2 in state taxes to deliver $1 in services; and

It costs $4 in federal taxes to deliver $1 in services.

Plain talk on simple economics, from the National Association of Life Underwriters, explains why big government isn’t always a great idea. The closer to the point of need, the better and the more diverse the solutions – the American secret.

Vice-Presidential nominee Congressman Paul Ryan, as few do, fully understands the combined application of the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity – the key to the USA’s past success. His fiscal genius tied to Mitt Romney’s business skills will lead the way back to prosperity to enrich people and serve the common good.

Subsidiarity is the opposite of entitlement. Solidarity is “e pluribus unum” and “In God we Trust” – not “us vs. them.” The Tea Party philosophy operates under chaos theory that even Alinskyite’s can’t cope with. It’s understandable in a free man’s daily pursuit of happiness, but lost on pundits and angry groupies of George Soros who always confuse Tea Party ideals.

We’ve got your back, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. “Progressives” are never going to love you. They hate the country because of the religious and moral values that keep it worth saving.

This is way past politics – age-old spiritual warfare whose lessons are seldom passed from one generation to the next. The Administration is warring against Jews and Christians and their myriad institutions of education and mercy. This same Administration is bent on one-world Sharia to fill the vacuum we’ve allowed to be created by yielding to political correctness.  We’re awake now and have a “Comeback Team” to save a nation too beautiful to lose.
