By now, you’ve probably heard the news that late-term abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell was found guilty of three first-degree murder charges for killing live babies as well as involuntary manslaughter of a woman who died at his Philadelphia clinic. Eyewitnesses testified that Gosnell killed hundreds of babies born alive over the years, but physical evidence was only available to prove three of them. This is a guy that kept baby feet in jars as trophies.

Will this case lead to regulations being implemented in one of the least regulated industries in America? Gosnell is certainly not alone when it comes to seedy backroom abortion operations, unsanitary conditions, and untrained staff.

Right under our preoccupied noses and all across America, hundreds of abortion “providers” are making a killing in their completely legal, government-approved businesses. Many are just living the American dream. Yes, it’s true some take advantage of confused and scared young girls; but with the average price of an abortion being around $1,300 per customer, delivering death adds up to big profits.

Various sources confirmed that Gosnell performed thousands of abortions over a 30-year career; and his practice alone netted him about $1.8 million a year, much of it in cash. Authorities found $250,000 hidden in a bedroom when they searched his house. Gosnell also owned a beach home and several rental properties. 

Prosecuter Ed Cameron said that “He created an assembly line with no regard for these women whatsoever.” For obvious reasons, many of the youngest customers end up paying cash.

Is Gosnell the only twisted abortionist killing babies born alive? Are we so naive to think his clinic was the only one operating in such horrific conditions? 

Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser insists Kermit Gosnell is not alone:

“Exploitation of women and complete disregard for their health and well-being are problems endemic to the entire abortion industry. There are numerous examples of negligence and even death in abortion facilities across the country. Now is the moment to realize that abortion is neither safe, nor rare. Abortion is a brutal, painful procedure, both for the child that it kills and the woman that it wounds.”

Gosnell’s radical pro-abortion views, similar to President Obama’s, clouded his respect for life, causing a blatant disregard for one of God’s most basic laws: Thou shalt not kill. Obama even said, “God bless Planned Parenthood” in a recent speech, fully supporting their ‘work.’ 

When abortion was legalized via Roe v. Wade in 1973, at least the court had an (extremely weak) excuse that there was some confusion over exactly when life begins. With modern technological advances such as ultrasounds, however, and the fact that science proves a human heart begins beating at six weeks, this argument holds no weight whatsoever!

And yet, abortions that are neither safe nor rare continue every minute in America under the guise of ‘reproductive freedom’ and ‘women’s health.’ A baby is aborted every 26 seconds. The media does their part by withholding the gruesome details and facts about killing our own and calling it a ‘right’. They hide the truth in part to protect the Democratic Party (abortion is a money-making platform), and most of us carry on with our busy lives without batting an eye. 

Apathy has spread like a heartless disease throughout the United States. We have become desensitized to sin.

The root of this depravity is pure evil and goes against what the Bible teaches; but for the average abortion practitioner, it’s just another day at the office. Abortionists don’t care about morals. We cannot expect unbelievers to live according to godly values.

To them, the Ten Commandments are merely ten suggestions. Their consciences have been seared, and they are simply accommodating the desires of a selfish, depraved society. In today’s culture, they call it “choice.”

To Gosnell, he was just doing his job: helping young women, even underage girls, dispose of the growing lives within them at any stage of development.

To the generous taxpayers of America, we’re just helping fund the cause by generously providing Planned Parenthood with $11 every second through our tax dollars, totaling over a half a billion dollars annually. The biggest abortion business in America just eliminated two more human lives since you began this article. They perform one abortion every 94 seconds, totaling more than 335,000 abortions a year.

If you only care about money and you have no regard for God, the Bible, and life in general, it was a brilliant plan – and the devil is full of them. This dark agenda of death began with Margaret Sanger in the 1930’s and 40’s, which I expose in my book ERADICATE, in a chapter called, “Planned Parenthood’s Buried History.”

A majority of American citizens believe that abortion is wrong (and even say that there should be more restrictions placed on abortion), so what now? It’s been over 40 years since the legalization of the destruction of human life in a Mother’s womb, supposedly the safest place on earth.

What about the women who walk into abortion clinics? Some have stomachs the size of basketballs. Should they escape any scrutiny? Why don’t we hear more about those who decided to kill the precious life inside them?

The root of this tragedy is a much bigger problem; we have a hyper-sexualized, promiscuity-approving culture from Hollywood to government-run schools to the mainstream media. Sadly, some Christians are conforming.

We continue tolerating depravity in America often leading to death and vote for those who support it. We allow abortionists to play God – and most of us say nothing. If such an appalling case as Gosnell’s doesn’t cause more folks to speak up, I’m not sure what will.

Thanks in part to the mainstream media, more Americans seem to be open to big government today than ever before. But do they really understand where it could lead? Apparently, we haven’t learned from the historic, epic failures of socialism throughout the world. Have the promoters of these policies ever been asked by the media to provide examples of one successful program they have presided over?

Are American citizens aware of what will happen if we allow government to have even more control of our lives? The election of Barack Obama is the most glaring step toward socialism in United States history. But are there really more socialists among us today, or are we being duped by an extremely progressive media? Maybe a little of both.

The following is an excerpt from the chapter ‘It Could Never Happen In America’ taken from the book, ERADICATE: BLOTTING OUT GOD IN AMERICA.

Shortly after President Obama was inaugurated in 2009, Newsweek ran a cover story for its February 16 issue declaring: “We Are All Socialists Now: The Perils and Promise of the New Era of Big Government.” The economic crisis was caused by too much govern­ment regulation, borrowing and spending, yet Newsweek claimed, “In the absence of a robust private sector, the government will fill in the gap.” The publication inferred that with the election of Barack Obama, America was becoming more like a European socialist country. I recently learned the writer of that article was Evan Thomas.

Thomas teaches journalism at Princeton University. He is also the grandson of Marxist Norman Thomas who joined the Socialist Party in America in 1918 and ran for president six times on the Socialist Party ticket! Norman Thomas once said:  

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”

And you wonder why kids going into journalism end up with hostile views of Christians and friendly views toward liberalism? In addition, on June 5, 2009, while being interviewed by Mr. “Thrill up my leg” on Hardball with Chris Matthews, Evan Thomas stated:

“I mean, in a way, Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of god.”

Prior to Newsweek, Thomas also worked at Time Magazine. You can see his continued influence at Time as the 2011 Person of the Year cover story was – “The (Occupy) Protestor” with the socialist clenched fist representing the movement.( Naturally, in 2008, Barack Obama was declared Time’s Person of the Year.)

Many conservative Americans stopped considering Time a legitimate magazine years ago. These and many other publications have sanitized socialism. The lengthy, eight-page cover story praised the European revolutions, focused on Occupy Wall Street, and dedicated just two descriptive sentences to the Tea Party calling it a “radical populist movement.”

Time’s cover story on Obama after just six months in office read, “Obama’s start has been the most impressive of any president since FDR.” Remember their cover story on Bush in the first 100 days of his presidency? There wasn’t one. In 2003, however, Newsweek did do a cover story called: “Bush & God – Why His ‘God Talk’ Worries Friends & Foes.” The nine-page article dissected Bush’s upbringing and ”questionable” Christian influences.

In October 2011, New York magazine published the results of a poll it had conducted with 100 committed OWS protesters in Manhattan, half of whom were in their twenties. Forty-five percent of respondents said capitalism “can’t be saved” and is “inherently immoral.”

In a different 2011 survey of OWS protesters by The Wall Street Journal, 65% said government has a moral responsibility to guarantee all citizens access to affordable health care, a college education, and a secure retirement – regardless of the cost. (Where to they get these ideas?)

It is imperative you and I recognize the enemy has been working through people willing to forge his devious plan in America. We must alert others to the wickedness because the time to sound the alarm is almost past. Thomas Jefferson’s timeless words should inspire us today:

“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people. Enable them to see that it is their interest to preserve peace and order, and they will preserve them. And it requires no very high degree of education to convince them of this. They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

What an honor and privilege that God has chosen you and me to be alive during this trying and exciting time in America. We are not here to be spectators. We were born during this generation to be a voice and an influence on others in order to draw people to Jesus Christ, and to counteract what is happening in America.

Do not allow today’s news or the agenda of the Left to cause you to lose your focus or your effectiveness for the Lord. This is all temporary. He is eternal. We are here for such a time as this and God has chosen us. Don’t give up and don’t get tired of doing what is good because we will reap a harvest in due time (Galatians 6:9-10).

Rally, stir up and strengthen fellow Christians. Regardless of the condition of culture and what is happening in America, we are responsible for using our time wisely while we’re here. Enemy forces want to blot out God and our freedoms, but He has entrusted this generation with His commission and to infiltrate society for Christ.

Doesn’t it matter to pro-abortion Americans that medical research proves and doctors testify that viable babies suffer tremendous pain when their necks or spinal cords are slit?

Did you ever think the media in America would get to the point where details, facts, and news about one of the most horrific killing sprees in recent history would be covered-up, minimized, or omitted altogether?

Here are just a few of the disturbing facts about Gosnell and his killing clinic:

· The remains of 45 babies were found by authorities at the Philly clinic.

· Gosnell preyed mostly on poor and minority women.

· Flea-ridden cats defecated freely, including in procedure rooms.

· One 41 year-old victim of a botched abortion, Karnamaya Mongar, died because the clinic was so crammed with junk that it took paramedics 20 minutes just to find their way out.

· Gosnell collected baby feet in jars.

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell has cemented forever the fact that the pro-choice media has chosen ideology and politics over journalism and doing their job.

By now, most Americans have witnessed the media’s blatant disregard for the truth. Many liberals in the media even admit they didn’t want to report on the Gosnell horror story because they felt it would hinder progress for abortion rights. It’s been well established, documented, and proven that the majority of both local and elite media have a liberal, progressive worldview.

This is not exactly a newsflash. Earlier this year, I began a series on media bias and began with research showing their complete lack of fair reporting on the abortion issue:

Approximately 83% of Americans feel that abortion should have some restrictions placed on it by law, but only 3% of media elites do. Translation: the media often believe or support the exact opposite of the majority of citizens to whom they report the news.

We should now take it a step further and look at the primary reasons for their bias. Journalism’s first obligation is to tell the truth, and its first loyalty is to citizens. The fact is, the media is not interested in the whole truth if it doesn’t fit their narrative; and their loyalty and allegiance is to their political party, not to the people they supposedly serve and inform.

Most mainstream media outlets are operated by pro-choice liberals, and a so-called ‘journalist’ is surrounded by coworkers loyal to the left. In addition, most would rather obey their liberal bosses instead of report the news fairly and honestly.

As children progress though government-controlled public schools, most get plenty of indoctrination from teachers who are loyal to their union, the government, and the Democratic Party. Naturally, kids end up repeating liberal talking points, even if they don’t know why they believe what they say they believe.

Due to heavy influence and pressure from peers, culture, and those in authority, most of these young people end up supporting abortion. For those who choose journalism and go to college, they receive one-sided instruction from progressive professors. As a result, when they graduate from college and get a job in the news industry, they’ve been converted.

How do you suppose they’d report on the issue of Life when prominent Democratic politicians oppose most restrictions on late-term abortions? Do you think a young news reporter would want to admit the radical abortion views of their hero and president, Barack Obama, who once fought a law that would have protected babies delivered alive during an abortion attempt?

It’s not complicated.

With the truth about the Gosnell clinic finally being exposed, we see the media with their collective pants around their ankles.

They’d naturally hide the fact that during the trial, a former Gosnell assistant (Stephen Massof, who does not even have a medical license) described how he jabbed medical scissors into the backs of babies’ necks or snipped their spinal cords to kill them. Calling it a “beheading,” Massof stated “It is separating the brain from the body.”

They’d obviously refuse to report that a young woman who worked at the Gosnell clinic as a teenager testified that she saw a baby’s chest continue to move, even after the gruesome snipping procedure Gosnell used to end the baby’s life.

It should not take a conservative firestorm to hold the media accountable, but it does. During the Gosnell trial, concerned Americans and citizen journalists used blogs, emails, Facebook posts, and a ‘Twitterfest’ to call attention to a tragic story that should break our hearts. The public deserves to know the truth; but this day and age in America, we must actively demand it from the media.

In June of 2010, Reverend Jim Wallis was asked if he believed abor­tion and homosexuality were sins. Christian radio station GM Mike Le May got the answer loud and clear: Wallis shouted at him, called him a “right-wing Kool-Aid drinking Glen Beck follower,” and hung up the phone. I documented the divisive controversy that led to this exchange in my book, ERADICATE, in a chapter on social justice and the Bible.

On Monday, Wallis – being faithful to the Democratic Party platform – openly admitted to supporting same-sex marriage. Not surprisingly, a spokesperson for Wallis’ Sojourners magazine could not say whether or not Wallis believes homosexuality is a sin.

Appointed by President Obama to his White House faith council, some say Wallis is a progressive evangelical because his primary support is from leftists.

In 2011, it was revealed by investigative journalists that Wallis’ Sojourners magazine received hundreds of thousands of dollars from radical socialist George Soros. Why would an anti-American financier like Soros give large grants to Sojourn­ers?

Jim Wallis first denied the Soros connection, saying, “No, we don’t receive money from George Soros… Our money comes from Christians who support us and who read Sojourners.”

Soros is a corrupt billionaire from Hungary aiming to destroy America’s Christian ideals and freedoms that made us a great nation. His hatred for America fuels the financing (over $52 million) of left-wing media outlets and groups, including those promoting abor­tion, atheism, homosexual activism, socialism, and government expansion. It’s no wonder Jim Wallis tried to hide the truth.

George Soros is working to destroy America’s system of capitalism; this connection between Wallis and Soros should not be ignored.

On their website, Sojourners quotes people like Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, and new age leader Marianne Williamson and empha­sizes social justice, environmental activism, diversity, and amnesty for illegal immigra­nts.

Wallis seems to look at the Bible in light of the world around him rather than looking at the world in light of God’s Word. From his White House platform, Wallis attacks Republicans while calling himself a “nonpartisan evangelical minister” and is very popular among liberals who routinely vilify Christians for their involvement in political issues.

According to Wallis:

As more Christians become influenced by liberation theology, finding themselves increasingly rejecting the values of institu­tions of capitalism, they will also be drawn to the Marxist analy­sis and praxis that is so central to the social justice movement.

Early in his career, Wallis founded an anti-capitalist magazine called the Post-American, which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving social justice. He changed the name to Sojourners in the early 1970s. During his college years at Michigan State, Wallis joined the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical organization that aspired to overthrow America’s institutions. Wallis remains opposed to the free market system in America.

Over the years, Jim Wallis has been pro-Vietcong and actually celebrated America’s defeat in Vietnam, stating:

I don’t know how else to express the quiet emotion that rushed through me when the news reports showed that the United States had finally been defeated in Vietnam.

In 1979, the journal Mission Tracks pub­lished an interview with Wallis, in which he expressed his hope that “more Christians will come to view the world through Marxist eyes.” Sadly, too many Christians agree with his extreme liberal views and faulty interpretation of Scriptures.

Wal­lis was listed as one of three “Religion and Socialism Commission co-chairs” in a 1982 Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) newsletter. He promotes equally distributed wealth, but this type of socialism has never been able to create the abundance needed to lift the poor out of poverty. Most importantly, his social justice politics cast aside the Great Commission of Christ – to make disciples of all nations – and can be confusing to people.

In 2005, Wallis was hired by Senate Democrats to help turn religious voters into Democrats, in part by sprinkling references to God and faith into their speeches to dupe people into thinking they found religion.

The next year, in a 2006 radio broadcast, an interviewer asked: “Are you then calling for the redistribution of wealth in society?” Wallis replied, “Absolutely, without any hesitation. That’s what the gospel is all about.” Whose gospel?

According to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the true Gospel is about faith in Jesus Christ for eter­nal salvation:

Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, …For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…

Author, editor-in-chief of World Magazine, and Provost of The King’s College Marvin Olasky has debated Jim Wallis. Olasky writes:

Biblically, justice – tied to righteousness – is what promotes faith in God, not faith in government… Learn about the biggest institutional hindrance to economic advancement for the poor: the government’s monopoly control of taxpayer funds committed to education and welfare.

In a 2008 interview with Christianity Today, Wallis promised to “work very hard to make abortion reduction a central Democratic Party plank” for the first time. It’s been seven years since Wallis made that promise, and over 1.2 mil­lion babies continue to be aborted every year. He claims that “poverty and global inequality” are today’s fundamental moral issues.

The glaring hypocrisy of social activist Jim Wallis has again been exposed, and we should pray for those confused or deceived by this very “different gospel” the Christian Left promotes.

While unelected U.S. Supreme Court Justices debated the issue of same-sex marriage in America on Tuesday, NBC’s Today featured a panel promoting gay marriage. Co-host Matt Lauer parroted a controversial ABC/Washington Post poll that supposedly shows a majority of Americans now support same-sex marriage. Carson Daly (The Voice) chimed in, saying “There is a new normal out there. We gotta move on.”

NBC’s Nancy Snyderman even went so far as to say same-sex marriage will be accepted by all people “once it’s institutionalized” and even compared gay marriage activists to the civil rights movement! (Juan Williams did the same thing Tuesday night on Fox News while debating ACLJ’s Jay Sekulow.) Attorney Star Jones also chimed in and compared gay marriage to interracial marriage.

On National Public Radio’s (NPR) Morning Edition, Carrie Johnson had four liberal and/or homosexual activists as guests and not one conservative or Christian view represented. NPR gladly receives our tax dollars and has a history of left-wing and anti-Christian bias, especially when it comes to the same-sex “marriage” issue. It should be called National Progressive Radio.

But this isn’t new, and NBC is not alone. The point is that today’s entertainers in the mainstream media, formerly known as “journalists,” used to care at least a little about what the people thought.

On ABC’s Good Morning America, Terry Moran reported from outside the Supreme Court: “this issue is changing in the American mind so fast…” The show featured four voices in support of the high court affirming gay marriage and just one against. ABC’s Josh Elliot spoke at a Gay and Lesbian Alliance Defamation (GLAAD) dinner and declared “I’m proud to work at a place that believes in advocacy journalism!”

It has been proven that the media are generally opposed to the Bible and generally favor laws to redefine marriage. Three out of four ‘journalists’ believe that homosexuality is acceptable and no different a lifestyle than heterosexuality.

The same media that resisted George W. Bush’s stances on social issues has gladly kept in step with the Obama White House’s marching orders to bring about progressive social change to America. Shortly after being elected president, Barack Obama gave a speech to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest les­bian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the United States. He told the audience they will “see a time in which we as a nation finally recognize relationships between two men or two women as just as real and admi­rable as relationships between a man and a woman.”

When it came time to make a 2012 campaign statement, non-practicing Catholic Joe Biden happily endorsed same-sex marriage and homosexuality. The party of abortion, big government, and irresponsible spending openly added same-sex marriage to its platform, and the mainstream media has gleefully followed suit.

Not many of us can forget the vitriol of those who oppose traditional marriage and Christian values when Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy was attacked for his beliefs and free speech. Cathy simply said marriage should be between one man and one woman and that he chooses to operate his company with Christian values. Network news and the cable shows provided a platform for homosexual activists, Hollywood liberals, and plenty of progressive Democrats to rail against Dan Cathy and others who supported biblical values.

Remember the result? Chick-Fil-A enjoyed record sales last August when millions of people across the country responded by eating at their restaurants. Just because activists have the loudest voices doesn’t mean they’re right. Though liberals have the megaphone of the media, they are a malignant minority.

Most Americans oppose redefining marriage; and according to the 2010 census, same-sex couples comprise less than one-half of 1 percent of the population. Faith, family, and marriage are foundational to this Republic under God.

Marriage is a religious civil liberty. The Constitution does not support or invite government to define the precious covenant of marriage. Instead of blaming the media and government for their hostility toward Christianity, we must pray for their souls before it’s too late. They need to be saved by the very God they’re opposing. We cannot expect unbelievers to act differently – they don’t submit to the same moral authority or code by which we strive to live.

In a Red State article this week, Dana Loesch wrote:

Tolerance is demanded of Christians but in this pluralistic society, little, if any, tolerance is afforded to Christian beliefs. Christians aren’t the antagonists here, but they do seem to have fewer rights than those engaging in lawfare to bring about forced acceptance.

In the article, Loesch gave many examples where homosexual activists and those pushing the gay agenda sued Christians, conservatives, and others who disagreed with their lifestyle. Victims of intolerance and lawsuits include:

A Christian woman, owner of a bed and breakfast in Hawaii, for not allowing a gay couple to rent a room;

A Kentucky company that politely declined printing t-shirts for a gay and lesbian organization;

A Methodist church in NJ that didn’t want its building used for same-sex weddings;

Christian photographers in New Mexico who turned down a client because it was a same-sex wedding;

Christian bed and breakfast owners in PA for not hosting a same sex civil union ceremony

Earlier this year, due to the uproar of activists on the left over a past sermon on homosexuality, the Obama administration forced Christian pastor Louie Giglio to resign from speaking at the inauguration ceremony.

While the media cheers, God is being blotted out of America; and discrimination against Christians will increase. Threats will continue against churches, Christian businesses, schools, and private individuals. God is not surprised by these attacks, but the bottom line is they will eventually refuse to ‘coexist’ with us because they cannot allow Christians to preach the gospel and quote the Bible.

Truth is hate to those who hate the truth.

The broadcast outlets also ignored the March for Marriage event this week, choosing not to cover a march of thousands of people on the Supreme Court because it didn’t fit their narrative.

The primary objectives of the Left are to eradicate Christianity in America and, in an effort to remove the Bible’s influence, take down the church. The good news is that more people are paying attention, distrust of the media is at an all-time high, and approximately 92% of Americans use multiple platforms to get their news.

Jesus said that we’d be hated because of Him, and that those who endure will be saved. (Matthew 10:22) God’s forgiveness through Christ is available to everyone, including those who hate Him. All we can do is keep seeking, speaking, and standing for the truth. God is gracious and slow to anger, but His patience won’t last forever.

The former founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, MI and a popular icon in the emergent church movement, Rob Bell grew his following in part by being a friend of the world. Bell often uses suggestive ques­tions rather than declarations to challenge traditional Christian doc­trine and the Bible’s authority.

In typical emergent fashion, Bell often creates more ambiguity instead of clar­ity, having no genuine commitment to absolute truth. So it’s no surprise to many of us that Bell came out in favor of homosexuality last week:

I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it’s a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man. I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs — I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are.

I’d say that’s a bit different from Jesus’ definition of marriage. Of course God loves every one of us, but nowhere in Scripture does He tolerate sin – any sin. He’s holy; He’s God, and we’re not. You might recall in 2011 when MSNBC’s Martin Bashir grilled Bell over his mushy position on Hell and eternal judgment. Even Bashir, a liberal cable TV host, referred to Bell’s teachings as unbiblical and historically unreliable. Bashir confronted Bell and said he was “amending the gospel so that it’s palatable,” and “much easier to swallow.”

It’s easy to see that Bell is giving our culture exactly what it wants: nothing too confrontational, convicting, or absolute. In the Gospels, Jesus described hell as a fiery furnace, outer darkness, a place of destruction, agony, torment, and weeping and gnashing of teeth. Bell, on the other hand claims:

For Jesus, heaven and hell were present realities. Ways of liv­ing we can enter into here and now. He talked very little of the life beyond this one… No amount of clever marketing will attract people if we teach that ‘God will punish people for all of eternity.’

Because of sin, judgment must come. The Word of God leaves no doubt about the existence of hell and severity of it. God has provided everything we need to know about hell and how to avoid it through faith in the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. Bell is an example of the product of Protestant Liberalism that evolved back in the nineteenth century. When the message is watered-down, it can be confusing to the biblically illiterate.

This brings us to Universalism, which teaches that all people will ultimately be saved no matter what they believe here on earth. You can live the way you want: sin, curse God or deny Christ, and still make it into heaven. Some Uni­versalists say their salvation is through the atonement of Jesus Christ while others think everybody will go to heaven eventually regard­less of whether or not they have put their faith in Christ.

Apparently, this universal redemption will be realized either during a person’s lifetime or after their death in some future state. Since there are many variations of Universalists, it’s not possible to place them all in one doctrinal category.

Rob Bell stated “What Jesus does is declare that he, and he alone, is saving every­body. And then he leaves the door way, way open.” But, in Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus Christ said:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Christian Universalism, however, holds that all of mankind will ultimately be saved through Jesus, whether we place our faith in Him as the Son of God or not. This salvation is not from hell, but from sin, thus pretty much eliminating the truth about a future Judgment Day. As you can imagine, this is a very appealing teaching to young people; and an entire generation of evangelicals has already been poisoned with this unbiblical doctrine.

After all, who wouldn’t want to accept a God of love without having to hear about repentance, holiness, judgment, and justice?

Some Universalists believe they will make it to heaven because a lov­ing God would never create a place like hell. They think they will have to make up for their sins in some way – in heaven – and that they are disciplined and purified in this life for their sins. Most believe punish­ment for sin is moral, not physical since there is no eternal damnation. Christian Universalism boils down to the claim that any doctrine about a literal hell is wrong.

There are those who also split hairs over the essential doctrine of Christ’s physical resur­rection, believing He was taken into heaven by God instead of actually rising from the dead and coming out of the tomb. Groups that deny the physical resurrection of Jesus are not Christian, nor are groups who deny the teaching of the Trinity. One of the more dangerous Universal­ist beliefs is a type of reincarnation in which those who have rejected Christ get a second chance and can still come to faith in the next life. These teachings should be avoided, and it’s always best to test all things by the living Word of God.

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to con­tend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.  Jude 3-4

They sure won’t be backing off the push for gun control in America anytime soon, but legislative efforts and proposals to curb gun use ignore the nonstop violence promoted by the entertainment industry.

A majority of American adults, 80%, agree with the statement that “violent games and films contribute to violence in society.” That’s according to a brand new Vanity Fair/60 Minutes nationwide poll. Of those respondents, 45% believe those media contribute a lot to societal violence, while 35% believe it contributes “some.”

Massive evidence is available, and countless studies prove the effects of simulated violence on all consumers, but especially on children. Why is Hollywood pardoned for the carnage its product constantly produces? It’s difficult to confront Hollywood decision-makers and hold them accountable when they’re helping get you reelected.

In a 2013 study, the Culture and Media Institute found that in the Top 5 movies – in just one weekend – the tally included 65 scenes depicting violence, 185 people killed, shot, stabbed, beaten, burned, blown up, etc.  Hollywood supporters talk about gun control but are unwilling to address the issue with the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, Hollywood continues producing the most violent, sadistic movies, television programs, and morbid video games that glorify graphic violence and mayhem. Our culture has been desensitized, similar to the blood-thirsty crowds in the Roman Coliseum thousands of years ago being entertained by human slaughter. One difference is we’re exposed to more violence and death than they could have imagined.

But if this was part of the problem, people would address it honestly – wouldn’t they?

Just a few days ago, California Senator Dianne Feinstein made another plea to ban assault weapons in one of her greatest hits as far as quotes go. Feinstein stated:

We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical, because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that, the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.

The heart of the problem today doesn’t lie with the instruments and tools of violence. We can’t outlaw hammers, shovels, knives, and rope, for example. To ban them would not stop evil because evil always finds another method. The Bible teaches that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, (Jer. 17:9), and America has all but abandoned God.

It’s no wonder we continue to fill Planned Parenthood dumpsters; too many Americans value choice (self) more than they value life.

George Washington, among others, emphasized religion and morality as primary foundations for a free, successful society. This is what the American way relies upon; and the more God is removed, the less morality we will have. Our Founding Fathers believed it would be unpatriotic to remove God from the public square.

In the 1960’s, the Left increased their efforts targeting American classrooms, courtrooms, newsrooms, Hollywood, government, and even our churches to promote moral relativism and minimize our Judeo-Christian way of life. In that decade, they truly advanced their agenda to eradicate God from the United States; and we’re living with the results today.

Be reminded our rights don’t come from man, but from the God of creation. If government had given us our rights, government could take them away. Chairman Mao Zedong and his regime of godless communists executed more people than anyone in world history. His view was basically that right and wrong is determined by who has all the guns.

When moral and religious standards decrease, chaos and crime increase. Passing gun legislation is just a politicized answer to a spiritual issue. We are naïve to think we can eliminate evil when few truly understand the cause. We need common sense, especially in politics.

Illinois Democrat Jan Schakowsky recently said that they were on a roll now with gun control, and “we’re gonna push as hard as we can and as far as we can.” In other words, the assault weapons ban is really the tip of the iceberg for liberals. Schakowsky isn’t shy about admitting to liberal agendas the media refuses to report on. For example, in 2009, she told a crowd that the goal of Obamacare would be to “put the private insurance industry out of business.”

And who can forget – in an admission caught on tape – during a discussion on drilling when liberal Democrat Maxine Waters admitted they’d be about “socializing” and “taking-over” the oil companies. They want power and control.

In other government power grabs, we now know the Obama administration could legally use deadly force against Americans inside the U.S., authorizing itself to shoot anyone thought to be a threat. Drones are something right out of a Hollywood movie – but this time, it’s not a movie.

We can continue having gun debates and policy arguments, but this doesn’t address a few core issues. Man has an evil, sinful nature; and without God, there’s little hope for this country. We place too high a priority on entertainment. Hollywood keeps promoting unlimited violence; and in one way or another, America keeps paying for it.

After four years of the Obama administration’s increasing use of remote-controlled, unmanned drones to kill our enemies, there are suddenly a few more in the media feeling obligated to report on the policy.

A new set of ethical issues is being discussed. The FAA is looking into how to regulate what some call ‘the drone age.’ When liberals say things like ‘Bush would have been impeached if he did what Obama is doing,” rest assured it’s newsworthy and conservatives should jump on the story.

Tina Brown, editor for the Daily Beast/Newsweek basically admitted to media hypocrisy saying:

“He’d be impeached by now for drones if he was George W. Bush… a Republican president; the outcry about drones would be far greater.”

Recently, memos on the president’s drone-use policy were released, perhaps to make Obama look stronger in fighting terror. Ironically, when first elected, Obama used the word “terror” only once in his 2009 inaugural address. Times have changed. The Obama administration has openly carried out more than six times the drone attacks approved by the Bush White House; and the main reason most Americans are unaware is the media looks the other way.

Obama made closing the Guantanamo Bay prison a campaign issue and has been unable to follow up on his promise. Instead, he now seems to favor a policy of killing to avoid prisoner detention. With few exceptions, the media has apparently been fine with openly using drones – that have killed many innocent bystanders – when they feverishly protested the use of enhanced interrogation techniques under Bush. They and Obama considered waterboarding prisoners to be ‘torture’; but they justify this policy of bombing suspects with no judicial review or trial.

The drone controversy has been brewing for months now. Judge Andrew Napolitano recently emphasized that the government’s legal memos on Obama’s policy to kill people overseas includes American citizens. Memos were released after a year of stonewalling federal judges who were seeking legal justification on drone use. What is this administration’s legal basis for claiming the right to kill without due process, thus suspending guaranteed constitutional protections?

The undated and unsigned 16-page document leaked to NBC refers to itself as a Department of Justice white paper. Its logic is flawed, its premises are bereft of any appreciation for the values of the Declaration of Independence and the supremacy of the Constitution, and its rationale could be used to justify any breaking of any law by any “informed, high-level official of the U.S. government.”

Under the Constitution, the president can only order killing using the military when the United States has been attacked, or when an attack is imminent. Obama and his advisers have used the word “surgical” to defend the use of drones as humane and necessary; but the fact is that out of the 2,300 drone-caused deaths, approximately 14 percent have been innocent civilians.

Such gravitas caused PBS’s Bill Moyers to question those who gave Obama the Nobel Peace Prize, implying it has become tarnished. Moyers now feels the president is indifferent to collateral damage and even called Obama’s drone use “cold-blooded.”

Ultra-liberal Columbia University professor Marc Lamont Hill even admitted the media refuses to hold Obama accountable, saying “I think the problem is we [Democrats] have convinced ourselves that Obama’s drones are somehow softer and kinder and gentler than Bush’s drones.”

Eric Holder’s Justice Department provided justification for killing the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, born in New Mexico, in an American drone strike in September 2011. Note that Obama and Holder had the audacity to denounce the legal method of interrogating terrorists by waterboarding, decrying former VP Dick Cheney’s defense of the policy. The double standards are astounding.

For once, I give the ACLU credit for calling the new memo a disturbing document, saying it’s a “stunning overreach of executive authority.” In his confirmation hearing for the CIA, John Brennan defended Obama’s counterterrorism program; and despite evidence, he stated that drone attacks are carried out “as a last resort, to save lives when there is no other alternative.”

Where is the line drawn? It should alarm us that our government also has the authority to use drones against its own people. During the Obama administration, conservatives, Tea Party participants, and even our veterans can be scrutinized by as dangerous or suspicious.

Referring to a 2012 DHS report, retired Army lieutenant colonel Robert Maginnis writes:

Is this a slippery slope whereby the government might turn drone technology on Americans at home it labels “terrorists”? That’s an alarming thought, but so are past statements made by this government…  [The 2012 report advocates] warning police to be suspicious of anyone that feels their way of life is endangered, anyone that is religious, and anyone that might be interested in “personal liberty” and/or firearms.

The domestic drone market is now expected to grow quickly. Congress must debate this controversial policy and set clear boundaries before it gets out of hand. I’m all for defending America, but not at the expense of increased government power and authority over the very citizens they’ve pledged to protect and serve.

Evangelist Ray Comfort produced a documentary (180 movie) in which he gets people thinking about ethical dilemmas involving life. Comfort asks: “It’s 1939, you have a high-powered rifle, and you have Hitler in your sights. Would you pull the trigger?” After most respond “yes,” he then asks: “If it was 30 years earlier, would you have killed Hitler’s pregnant mother knowing what you know now?”

If drone killing isn’t controversial enough for the media to report on, either they don’t value all life – including life in the womb – or they prioritize protecting the president they voted for over telling American citizens the truth. Maybe it’s both.

Do you believe recent polls or reports saying the Tea Party is dwindling? The media has swayed public opinion on this, but conservatives must be reminded to stay the course.

Occupy Wall Street was promoted effusively by the mainstream media; yet on the one year anniversary of OWS last September, New York City could only muster 1,000 demonstrators. Where are they now? A common catalyst leading to the breakout of the Tea Party in 2009 and Occupy in 2011 was the policies of Barack Obama.

It’s been proven that OWS was about as spontaneous as the attack at Benghazi. The movement was a planned uprising organized by socialists, unions, and left-wing activists. We now know many protestors had jobs, good incomes, or college degrees while hypocritically demanding economic justice in the hopes of overthrowing America’s systems.

In contrast, I recently spoke at a Tea Party meeting. Though the movement has branched off into many organized groups, there are hundreds of weekly and monthly meetings continuing to take place across America. The TP has not gone away and continues to be a thorn in the side of the Obama White House and the moderate Republican establishment.

These were two of the biggest public movements affecting America in years, but there was a stark difference in how the media reported on them. For example, Occupy Wall Street drew 24 broadcast network stories in the first nine days of coverage while the Tea Party drew only 19 in the first nine months! This isn’t journalism, folks. The media practically became OWS’s public relations department.

The Tea Party is a conservative grassroots entity. Occupy Wall Street is [was] a well-organized creation supported in part by the leftist Tides Foundation (a major recipient of George Soros’s funding), MoveOn.org, and international interests. Massive government spending and the passage of Obamacare were two major factors that galvanized the TP while Vancouver, Canada-based AdBusters, an anti-consumerist publication, sounded the initial call for OWS.

The TP endorses cutting both spending and taxes, reducing the national debt, and adherence to the US Constitution. They also aim to call awareness to issues challenging the security or sovereignty of the United States. OWS protested the disparity of wealth in America, capitalism, corporations, and big business. The primary OWS goals are equal distribution of wealth by government through taxation, financial aid for students/more jobs for college graduates, corporate regu­lation, and bank reform.

ABC, CBS, and NBC flooded their morning and evening newscasts in October 2011 with 33 full stories on OWS. In contrast, the Tea Party was initially ignored.

The story ratio was nineteen favorable to only one critical of OWS (190 to 10.) When confrontations erupted between the police and protestors, networks, being sympathetic to the OWS cause, were much more likely to pin the blame on police. Overall, American media continued to overlook arrests, property damage, public health concerns, assaults, and anti-Semitism.

What did OWS produce? Over 7,719 arrests in 122 different cities as of December 2012 (over two thousand in New York City alone.) Charges included civil disobedience, disturbing the peace, trespassing, drug use, and vandalism. Police rap sheets showed dozens of inci­dents of sexual assault, violence, and extortion.

There were at least nine deaths. The media also failed to report on the OWS money trail leading to big unions such as SEIU. The Nancy Pelosi-endorsed, White House-approved (President Obama said “We are on their side”) protests included American flags hung upside down, desecrated, or burned. Some protesters openly admitted to being Socialists, Communists, and Marxists; but the media was virtually silent on these associations.

Groups openly supporting OWS include the Communist Party USA, Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam, CAIR, the American Nazi Party, the Marxist Student Union, and the Socialist Party of America.

Conversely, the Tea Party produced the mobilization of tens of millions of American patriots, many of whom have never before been involved in politics. They fly their flags at peaceful rallies, and they’re proud of America’s founders and Constitution. They love this country and are willing to stand up to big government.

The DNC called the Tea Party “rabid right-wing extremists.” ABC said they were a “mob.” CNN accused them of “rabble rousing.” Harry Reid called them “evil mongers.” Nancy Pelosi said they were “un-American.” Anderson Cooper and other liberals simply insult them.

President Obama has unleashed a tidal wave of bills, executive orders, and policies in efforts to make good on his promise to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.” The result has been monstrous debt, relentless regulation, increasing taxes, and social policies that go against our Christian values.

Remember when this administration caused such a massive voter backlash in the 2010 Midterm elections that the media had no idea how to spin the landslide? The GOP gained a record 65 seats in the House; Republicans also gained 680 seats in state legislatures and picked up ten state governorships. It was the largest margin of victory since the 1930’s. People of America woke up, spoke up, and voted. However, this is now about changing culture.

Our freedoms are under attack. We missed an opportunity in 2012 by failing to keep the momentum going. A friend recently reminded me, “Elections are not the leading edge of change. Elections are the lagging indicators of what’s already changed.”

Some now suggest our strategy needs to be: re-brand, retool, recruit, and re-engage. OWS may be plotting from underground, but the Tea Party is publicly active. We know what side the media is on. Let’s keep exposing hypocrisy and sharing the truth.

Concerned American citizens who don’t know the facts about how our government uses taxpayer dollars are being misled because the truth is not reported by the media. Before the massive economic stimulus bill passed in 2009, VP Joe Biden insisted “We have to spend more money to keep from going bankrupt.” That was three and a half years ago, and Americans are still paying the bills.

We have a consistently anemic economy and high unemployment as well as increasing energy and healthcare costs. Is the government corrupt, or is it incompetent where handling taxpayer dollars is concerned? That stimulus money was supposed to lead to shovel-ready jobs – immediate economic growth – but as the president himself chuckled, “Shovel ready was not as shovel ready as we expected.”

Just last week, Obama shut down the Jobs Council that apparently was created as a photo op used to dupe the public into believing they were trying to get people back to work and recharge the economy.

In the case of the energy market, the government’s decisions have cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Let’s look at some under-reported facts.

Ten months ago, another Obama-backed solar company in California, Solar Trust for America, declared bankruptcy after receiving $2.1 billion in loan guarantees from the Department of Energy (DOE). According to the Wash­ington Examiner, Energy Secretary Steven Chu boasted the deal was “the largest amount ever offered to a solar project.”

Through the massive economic stimulus, the Obama administra­tion basically funneled money to their Democratic allies; and even with all the evidence of failure, the media protects the administration, disregarding American citizens in the process. It sounds good to ‘invest’ in green energy and the future of America, but government typically rewards companies that are loyal to those who make the policies. Crony Capitalism 101.

Reports have noted that $80 billion was set aside in the 2009 Obama stimulus; and instead of creating desperately-needed jobs, the administration funded politically preferred energy projects. The DOE immediately provided over $35 billion in loans, loan guarantees, and conditional commitments to renewable energy companies before the American public knew what was going on. Sadly, many still don’t know.

Money was poured into companies that had poor track records. More than 36 companies have received money from generous U.S. taxpayers and have either gone bankrupt or are in the process of major cuts and layoffs. One spectacular failure is Brightsource Energy, which used $1.6 billion in taxpayer money.

First Solar received $1.46 billion. Next, Solyndra, a solar manufacturer, received a $535 million loan guarantee from the DOE and went bankrupt. Fisker Automotive, the electric vehicle manufacturer, received a $529 million DOE stimulus loan and has gone through layoffs. Evergreen Solar received $527 million.

Abound Solar received $400 million and has declared bankruptcy. Battery maker A123 received a $249 million stimulus grant from the DOE and has had layoffs. Ener1 received a $118.5 million stimulus grant; now, they are bankrupt. (Ener1 was on the White House list of 100 Projects that are Changing America.)

A few other glaring green energy failures include: Johnson Controls ($299 million), A123 Systems ($279 million), Babcock and Brown ($178 million), LG Chem’s subsidiary Compact Power ($151 million), ECOtality ($126.2 million), and Mascoma Corp. ($100 million). See Heritage Foundation’s extended list.

THIS ISN’T NEWSWORTHY? Even an AP report showed Solyndra hemorrhaging hundreds of millions of dollars years before the Obama administration signed off on the $535 million loan! The California-based company was the first renewable-energy company to receive a loan guarantee under a stimulus-law program to encourage green energy. Obama looked at the “investment” into Solyndra as a model.

At the time, Michigan Republican Fred Upton, chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, warned:

“In this time of record debt, I question whether the govern­ment is qualified to act as a venture capitalist, picking winners and losers in speculative ventures and shelling out billions of taxpayer dollars to keep them afloat.”

Solyndra announced bankruptcy on August 31st, 2011; and in October, the Media Research Center released a study that exposed ABC, CBS, and NBC because they rarely mentioned it. It was just the opposite of their reporting on Enron, an energy company with Republican ties during the Bush administration:

“In just the first two months of 2002, the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts cranked out 198 stories on the Enron debacle, compared to just eight (at the time of this study) on Obama’s Solyndra, which is a 24-to-1 disparity.”

How about investing in the private economy? There is no substantial proof green jobs are going to be successful in the near future. The green energy loan program was supposed to create 65,000 jobs, but reports could claim only 3,545 jobs.

The Obama White House and DOE stuck with Solyndra because its largest financial backer was George Kaiser, a major financial donor to Obama. Accuracy in Media’s Roger Aronoff stated: “This goes against the media narrative that Obama operates on a higher ethical plane than previous scandal plagued politicians.”

An entire month after Solyndra declared bankruptcy, a Pew survey found 43% of Americans “had never even heard of the scandal.” As for MSNBC, their primetime lineup went months without even acknowledging Solyndra.

Will this administration relent on its agenda? Just three months ago, Obama told an audience in Wisconsin that they’d continue to gamble with taxpayer dollars on green energy projects, confessing that “some of the businesses we encourage” with government loans “will fail” like Solyndra.

Bankruptcies and failures won’t diminish the Obama administration’s drive to keep spending our money as long as the media refuses to hold them accountable.
