Atheist groups have long advertised their agenda in an apparent attempt to recruit more people into a life devoid of purpose greater than this human existence.
These activists have every right to spend their money on billboards or any other outreach project they deem appropriate; but believers can — and, in my opinion, should — speak out against the more distasteful campaigns.
One such plan, a website backed by the American Humanist Association, speaks directly to the next generation with arguments designed to cause them to question their faith.
The site, Kids Without God, is designed to teach kids “there’s another way to learn about morals and values,” said a spokesperson for AHA. “It doesn’t need to come from traditional religion.”
Advertising for the site will come in several forms, including $30,000 earmarked for bus advertising in and around the nation’s capital. Several popular websites are also running ads, though Disney and National Geographic Kids thankfully refused based on content.
AHA hopes to attract children whose parents are “traditionally religious” as well as those “from families like that of President Barack Obama, whose mother was a secular humanist,” the spokesperson explained.
With tag lines such as “I’m getting a bit old for imaginary friends,” he said the site will address kids who have “already made up their minds to reject supernatural explanations” as well as those who “are just questioning.”
A press release indicates what children can find on the site, including topics such as sexuality and discrimination. Bill Nye the Science Guy’s defense of evolution is included as one of the featured videos.
The perceived need for an anti-God website for kids arises from the fact that there are a “plethora of websites geared toward teaching kids about Christianity, Judaism, or Islam,” the spokesperson explained, contending that “its time to make available an online resource that’s built just for kids without God.”
I’ve never been quite clear about why atheists feel the need to proselytize. Believers in a higher power try to convert others because we trust in an eternal hope and life after this one. Atheists think our worldly body represents the extent of existence and seem desperate to add numbers to their ranks.
When they bypass adults and directly target children, though, they are using an age-old leftist tactic of indoctrination that makes an end run around parental influence.

America has been asleep for the last 30 years. This is the stuff that our kids have been learning in public schools and college while we worked and slaved to give them a “better life” than we had.

Obama set the tone and the mood. He says he went to Wrights church for 20 years… did he go for the inspiraton he got from the gay Choir Director … or did he go to get elected? How many time has he gone to church since becoming President. Looks like he went to win that election — but now that he’s attained all his desires, he has no need to go to church now, does he? He’s choir director’s murder was never to be investigated either. Chicago style too. uummmmm!!
Since I was formerly in the Coast Guard, my mind goes to a maritime analogy. Consider two ships. Your child has to go on one of them.
The first is the SS Theist. She is piloted by a skillful captain who has a vast knowledge of the sea. Where the good sea lanes are. Where the dangerous rocks and shoals are to be avoided. The captain has vowed to give his own life to insure a safe journey. He has a destination in mind and knows how to get there. He knows the rules of the sea.
Consider the other vessel, the SS Atheist. There is no captain. No one to protect, guide or maintain the ship for a safe journey. There is no destination, there are no charts, no one to call for guidance, no one to call for help (except yourself) when the storms come raging. Of course, you can ask one of the other passengers but, they’re just as lost as you are!
Make your decision quickly. You have to get on one or the other. Which one will you choose?
How unfortunate it is that these things are being put upon our children. It’s make the burden even larger on parents and families to ensure that our youth know the truth. It’s getting harder and harder due to that loving God has become “uncool”, and Obama is cool. I fear that our country is going down the toilet and Obama holds the handle on the flush.

just what this country needs, a very sad time for this country .. and its people … there is just so much i cannot understand , one being .. why this man was re elected, although, i said before, for the bible to be fullfilled , he had to be re elected .. and my fears came thru .. so sad ..
When this country was ‘born’….. atheists were unheard from. How did they get here… Who sent them over.. or were they born in this country… a country which fought for the right to be here. Im sure none of the Indians were atheists…. Who let them in… More and more are atheists now… Geraldo used to be one.. I remember seeing his name listed under those which are atheists… but the next couple of years.. his name was removed for what ever reason.. Maybe he no longer wanted to be one…
Now.. we have jillions of Muslims…. who dont believe in our God.. how did they get here… were they invited… or did they jump ship and swam over…. was it in the last 4 years — Obama’s years…? Probably so!!!!
