A popular blog that has kept citizens abreast of how Americans successfully defend themselves from crime by being armed has been suspended while its organizers deal with a copyright infringement claim from a newspaper, the blog itself has announced.
According to a statement from David Burnett, whose work has included compiling the subject information on the Armed Citizen, the site is closed for now – and its future will depend on what happens in the case.
It was targeted in a federal court lawsuit filed by Righthaven LLC, which apparently is working on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The site, targted by a lawsuit that is one of apparently dozens that the plaintiffs have brought to court, assembles information about those situations in which someone is able to defend himself or herself – or others.

Until today I had never heard of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, But I have heard of David Burnett ! You would think that if they have the interest of the LEGAL citizens, and constitution of these United States at heart, that they would be delighted that someone was even Reading their story, much less being upset that someone had copied and sent the information along…… I would understand if their gripe was that the blogger didn't give them credit for the story ……… It just seems that We are descending into back biting and division rather than moving toward solidarity. This Guy is just trying to help get the truth out there.

This is just a "test-case" for taking away American rights. I'm also waiting for the stories to explain how the Bush administration had caused the coming planned economic collapse this late summer/fall. It will be interesting, but Marxist(anti-messiahs) are good at this sort of thing.

The fact is The Las Vegas Review – Journal is not worth the paper it is printed on.
My opinion is that they just wanted to shut down one of their competitors.

I had never heard of this site till now but I'll be watching for it to re-open. It sounds like it was a good site. I guess the suit-happy Las Vegas Review has to keep suing in order to get finances. Sad way to make a living.

The LVRJ is a newspaper which spends more ink on supporting Left Wing ideology, than exploring anything remotely akin to Truth or patriotism. Their readership is dropping rapidly, probably even among the Democrats, and they are not a believable source for news. They are a big part of the anti-gun problem in Clark County, along with the wimps and cowards to hate the 2nd Amendment. Only educated voters, those who truly desire Freedom and their God given Rights can save this nation, however the foreign ignorance, and stupidity of our own people bring us to the brink of collapse as a viable nation.
