Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s unambiguous rejection of Barack Obama’s latest fantasy about the Middle East has potentially created a significant new political dynamic in the United States. By graciously but comprehensively rebutting Obama’s entire view of Arab-Israeli reality, first in the Oval Office, then before a joint meeting of Congress, Netanyahu has also exposed broader flaws in Obama’s worldview.
No Israeli leader could simply cave in immediately to Obama’s ill-disguised pressure in his uncongenial, unsympathetic State Department speech just prior to Netanyahu’s arrival in America. While Obama may have understood this limitation, he nonetheless intended to create political “facts on the ground” for Israel, pushing it into a corner difficult if not impossible to escape. While Obama did not, as some in his administration urged, lay out precise terms and conditions of, effectively, an American ultimatum, he came perilously close.
Little he said was actually new for him, including referring to Israel’s “1967 borders” (subsequently “clarified”). Nor was his tone more hostile than his past comments or those of other Administration officials. Several observers noted correctly that Obama’s speech “could have been worse,” which is unquestionably true.
Many speculated former Senator George Mitchell, Obama’s Middle East envoy, resigned precisely because his preferred approach to muscling Israel was rejected.
The critical difference this time was Netanyahu’s reaction. He ignored the advice of Obama’s fellow liberals in the Jewish community never to cross a sitting president, especially not this one.

I am so disgusted with Obama admin telling these other countries "what to do". Where in the hell does he get off thinking he's the great one? He's the worse one. "Ben's" speech was such a uplifting, glad to hear what he said. I was sorry to see that not all the congressional peoples did not applaud to what he said. They should listen to this man and take heed. I stand with israel.
You need to read this whole chapter for the context. I don't see much difference between Benhadad and Plalestine at this time. At some point they have to ask too much and the arm of flesh cannot prevail against them but it wasn't the arm of flesh that they faced.

Consider the instruction Moses gave the Children of Israel as they prepared to cross Jordan into the promised land.

It is not the righteousness of the Israeli but the wickedness of the Palestinian that is their undoing. They have had ample time and opportunity to make peace if they wanted peace but they are no more peaceable then Benhadad. Ahab was called a wicked king so it was not his good behavior that prevailed. I believe Obama is at least an Islam sympathizer, if not a Muslim terrorist of the new kind, not gun wielding, but operating just outside of American laws, protected by the MSM that shields him from the consequences a conservative president would have suffered a long time ago.
But if you view his action from the angle of what will promote the Muslim World Umma or Caliphate, then all of Obama's actions make sense. Obama is practicing Taquiyya, the Islamic word for deception, mandated in the Quor-an, when open aggression is not possible.
Remember he wrote in his book Dreams from my Father, "If things get ugly, I will side with Islam".
Clearly Iran’s President Ahmadinejad is an Islamic radical, trying to provoke the coming of the 12th Imam through apocalyptic world events (destroying Israel with a nuclear bomb surely will qualify for that, he already said that any counter attack by Israel will destroy no more than 2/3rd of Iran). Hence no challenges to Iran’s regime during the student riots in Iran, especially no support to the protesters opposing his re-election, the continuation of Ahmadinejad's dictatorship.
Contrast this with Egypt, where the old Mubarak regime, and the new one supposedly supported by the military, was clearly not guaranteed to be Islamic in nature. Here Obama's call for inclusion of all civic organizations, of which he only called the Muslim Brotherhood by name. His handpicked "National Security Advisor" Clapper tried to describe the Muslim Brotherhood, an unindicted Co-Conspirator during the Holy Land Foundation Investigation, as a secular, civic minded organization.
The same holds true for Libya, where Quaddafi could not be relied on to modify his regime to an Islamic fundamentalist society, but the insurgents have known ties to the Taliban, so Obama calls for the ouster of Qaddafi and his sons, and the useful idiots, the EU and USA, are assisting their enemies and Al Quaeda assisted rebels to expand the Caliphate and assure their own demise.
So it is not Obama who is confused, it is Western Society, western governments and the MSM, who out of "humanitarian interests" are assisting their own executioners in their own extermination.

Historically every time our nation America has infringed politically on Israel & it's land we have felt the wrath of God! Via natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes etc.

Mr Netanyahu showed Obama, Congress, and the World how a Real Leader looks after his country, something that is foreign to Obama, just like Honor, Integrity, and American Values are foreign to Obama. I propose we run Benjamin Netanyahu as our next US President! What the HEY, it's likely that Obama was not born here either, so why not a US President born in Israel?
