Media Ignores Worst Of Obama Free Fall

By Kevin Collins, Collins Report

obama index july 31 2009 Media Ignores Worst of Obama Free Fall

Obama’s numbers are crashing especially among Reagan Democrats

The media is glossing over the truth of Obama’s approval freefall. His situation is serious because of which groups are turning away.

July has been a disaster for Obama’s approval numbers. Gallup says Obama’s numbers fell 4 points overall and 7 points among 18 to 29s. With voters over 65 only 48% approve of Obama. Young and old are realizing they were lied to.

Rasmussen says Obama’s approval index (strongly approve versus strongly disapprove) has fallen to -12 points.

Zogby says Obama’s approval is 48% the lowest he has recorded for him. Obama has lost 9 points with Latinos; 15 % unemployment is killing hopes for change. Nevertheless, he can snap his fingers and get these fools back. They’re not capable of voting Republican.

Obama, “It’s the middle class White Reagan Democrats stupid!” Obama’s real problem is his meltdown with the so called moderates and conservative White Democrats. Gallup shows Obama lost 9 points among the “some college” voters and finds him plunging among those earning between $60,000 and $90,000 by a huge 10 points!

Liberal Intolerance On TV

By Matthew Vadum, American Spectator

Ah, liberal tolerance.

NBC wants Fox competitor Glenn Beck fired.

Chuck Todd and company at NBC News are outraged that conservative talker Beck won’t –or can’t– be fired for calling President Obama a “racist.” They blogged as follows:

*** On the Glenn Becks and Howard Beales: The White House doesn’t want to give Glenn Beck a bigger platform or extra oxygen — especially regarding his remark yesterday that the president has “a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture” — so they won’t comment, even off record. Beck, after all, is a radio DJ who somehow ended up getting a national platform to give his opinion on politics. What’s most amazing about this episode is that what Beck said isn’t a fireable or even a SUSPENDABLE offense by his bosses. There was a time when outrageous rants like this would actually cost the ranters their jobs.

Will Hawaii Destroy Obama’s Birth Certificate?

By Bob Unruh, WorldnetDaily

Barack Obama 5 SC Will Hawaii destroy Obamas birth certificate?

The state of Hawaii has made a series of procedural changes that would allow officials to destroy President Obama’s original long-form birth certificate, concealing its contents forever.

The warning comes in a report by an investigator commissioned by a retired CIA officer.

The report was posted online by the Western Center for Journalism, which withheld the name of the officer.

“We know from a document posted on June 10, 2009, on the Department of Hawaiian Homelands website that, up until very recently, either the original paper Certificates of Live Birth and/or scanned images of those paper certificates were maintained by the Dept of Health, and copies of them were provided to confirm claims of Hawaiian ancestry,” said a newly posted update to the report.

“But if in June 2009 the Department of Hawaiian Homelands has decided that it will no longer require the original Certificate of Live Birth as proof for special privileges and the Department of Health spokesman says firmly that they will no longer provide copies of these original certificates, is it possible that, in the midst of the controversy over where Barack Obama was born, the Hawaiian state govt has destroyed the original paper certificate of live birth?” continued the investigator’s report.

New ABC Health Correspondent Is An Obama Donor

By Scott Whitlock, Newsbusters

ABC SC New ABC Health Correspondent Is an Obama Donor

ABC’s newly hired senior medical editor is also an Obama donor, having contributed $400 to the Democratic presidential candidate in 2008. TV Newser reported on Thursday that Dr. Richard Besser, the director of the Centers for Disease Control, would assume the position in September. A search on the website Open Secrets finds two donations by Dr. Besser on August 22, 2008.

As senior health correspondent, Dr. Besser can be expected to play a major role in ABC’s coverage of the health care debate this fall.

Dr. Tim Johnson, who currently holds the position for ABC, has long been an advocate for government-run solutions to the health care problem in America. Going back to the last big push in the early ’90s, he told then-First Lady Hillary Clinton on July 19, 1994: “So at least from the physicians represented here, you get a 100 percent vote, including mine, for universal coverage.” Johnson will become the “chief medical editor” for ABC News.

Replacing The Mainstream Media Blog By Blog

By Adam Boiland, Examiner.com

Much has been said about the impact that new technology has on the viability and quality of traditional journalism. Newspapers, on the verge of collapse, are slashing reporting staffs and obsessing about micro payments. The Associated Press is threatening legal action against sites that lift its content without permission. Even NPR, which just this week unveiled a redesign and new strategy, has struggled to adapt.

We’re losing local reporters–the people who have traditionally covered transportation issues–with disturbing speed, and many of those journalists who do remain seem to spend so much time shooting out inane tweets you wonder how they’re finding time to report the news.
It’s not all doom and gloom, however, particularly in niche areas such as transportation. We’re seeing thriving networks of blogs emerge written by people who may lack the gravitas of their professional counterparts but who collectively are offering more comprehensive coverage of both local and national transportation issues than the pros used to do during the glory days of journalism.

Dan Rather Wants Obama To Help Save The News

by Andrew Travers, Aspen Daily News

Barack Obama 5 SC Dan Rather wants Obama to help save the news

Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather called on President Barack Obama to form a White House commission to help save the press Tuesday night in an impassioned speech at the Aspen Institute.

“I personally encourage the president to establish a White House commission on public media,” the legendary newsman said.

Such a commission on media reform, Rather said, ought to make recommendations on saving journalism jobs and creating new business models to keep news organizations alive.

At stake, he argued, is the very survival of American democracy.

“A truly free and independent press is the red beating heart of democracy and freedom,” Rather said in an interview yesterday afternoon. “This is not something just for journalists to be concerned about, and the loss of jobs and the loss of newspapers, and the diminution of the American press’ traditional role of being the watchdog on power. This is something every citizen should be concerned about.”

Guess How Many Ways To Get Hawaii ‘birth Certificate’

By Bob Unruh, WorldnetDaily

Barack Obama 6 SC Guess how many ways to get Hawaii birth certificate

An analysis of Hawaii’s birth recording requirements around the time of Barack Obama’s 1961 birth reveals several ways to generate a “Certificate of Birth,” including some that require no documentation other than the assertion of a adult.

The word comes in a report by an investigator commissioned by a retired CIA officer. The report was posted online by the Western Center for Journalism, which withheld the officer’s name.

“In the State of Hawaii, back in 1961, there were four different ways to get an ‘original birth certificate’ on record,” the investigator says, including a report to the Department of Health from an attending physician or midwife

But if the certificate was obtained through any of the other three options, “Obama would have a very good reason not to release the vault birth certificate,” the investigator said.

“If the original certificate were the standard … type of birth certificate (documented by a physician or midwife), he would have allowed its release and brought the controversy to a quick end,” the report said. The investigator said if the birth certificate was obtained by one of the other methods, then it contributes to the overall questions raised about Obama’s eligibility.

All-Access Obama

By Brent Bozell, CNSNews.com

Barack Obama speech 9 SC All Access Obama

Martha Joynt Kumar, a scholar of presidential communications strategies at Towson University, reports that President Obama is almost everywhere in the media. In their first four months, Bill Clinton gave 11 interviews and George W. Bush gave 18, compared with 43 from Obama. He has offered his eloquence to ABC News at least six times, seven times on CBS and nine times on NBC.

That large number doesn’t count his latest TV interview blitz, or the four prime-time press conferences. But all this access to the media – based on the strategy that Obama’s charisma can overcome all objections to his policy nostrums – isn’t stopping the collapse of his attempts to rush the country into massive new spending and regulation schemes.

The public is getting bored. About 24.7 million viewers tuned in to Obama’s latest TV show last week, according to Nielsen ratings, some four million fewer than watched his last evening news conference in April and only half the number that saw his first one in February. The media are getting bored, too.

Their decision to play up Obama’s thuggish attack on the city cops in Cambridge, Massachusetts demonstrated Obama was losing control of the political narrative on the health-care front.

Senate Dems Blame Media For August Health Deadline

By J. Taylor Rushing, the Hill

Harry Reid 5 SC Senate Dems blame media for August health deadline

Senate Democratic leaders on Thursday blamed Capitol Hill media for setting an August deadline for health reform and Republicans for blocking the bill’s progress.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Democratic Conference Vice Chairman Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Conference Secretary Patty Murray (D-Wash.) also acknowledged that critics will “pour it on” during the coming August recess and they plan to respond in kind.

Reid said reporters created a fictitious deadline of a successful vote by the August recess, and downplayed the fact that the chamber won’t meet that mark.

“That is a deadline that you created,” Reid told a group of about 75 reporters. “It’s not like we don’t have a product. Significant progress has been made … The mere fact that this wasn’t done by last Friday or by five o’clock doesn’t mean we’re not going to get a quality product.”
Sens. Michael Enzi (Wyo.), ranking Republican on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and Chuck Grassley (Iowa), the ranking Republican on the Finance Committee, took stances Thursday against supporting any healthcare bill before the August recess — a move Reid blamed on Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Unveiled! Hawaii’s 1961 Long-form Birth Certificates

By Jerome R. Corsi, Worldnetdaily

Barack Obama speech 8 SC Unveiled! Hawaiis 1961 long form birth certificates

Images of two 1961 Hawaii birth certificates similar to the one President Obama purportedly has on file have now been unveiled.

The Honolulu Advertiser published photostats of the original long-form birth certificates of twin daughters born to Eleanor Nordyke at Kapi’olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital Aug. 5, 1961, one day after Obama was supposedly born at the same facility.

The Nordykes’ certificates include information missing from the short-form document for Obama published online, including the name of the hospital, the name of the attending physician, name and address of the parents, the race of the parents and the race of the baby.

As WND reported yesterday, Hawaii’s director of health responded to the growing controversy over the White House’s refusal to release Obama’s original long-form birth certificate by issuing a statement about the document in apparent contravention of Hawaiian law.
