Confirming the weekend’s reporting, on Tuesday “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Joe Arpaio, endorsed Texas Gov. Rick Perry for president at a diner in Amherst, New Hampshire.
“The federal government has failed on border crime and border enforcement, and no candidate for president has done more to secure the border than Governor Rick Perry,” Arpaio wrote in a statement. “I have been watching Governor Perry and Texas closely and know his border surge operations with state, local and federal law enforcement officials have helped shut down the illegal trafficking of weapons, drugs and people.”
While the federal government has failed, according to the Arizona sheriff, Perry is the guy who can right the wrongs on the border.
“I’m endorsing Rick Perry because we need a tough-on-crime president who will champion and fund full-time border security operations from Brownsville[, Texas] to San Diego,” he said. “Governor Perry has a superior border security record and plan to make our border and our nation safer.”
Arpaio is well known for his aggressive opposition to illegal immigration and unwavering law and order policies. According to ABC News, the sheriff will be campaigning Tuesday and Wednesday with the Texas governor in New Hampshire.

I am starting to wonder if Joe is for real or just grabbing headlines? I liked his tent prisons, pink underwear and other ways he detained Illegals but I wonder does he have other intentions. I guess we shall see. Yes James I do check headlines here and search the actual words spoken. Some headlines are adjusted to support the writers conclusion.

What about how Perry would handle larger problems such as:
1) The technology and jobs transfer to non-Christian Asia
2) The Judeo-Fed and the upcoming currency collapse
3) The Middle East and its upcoming Judeo-Caliphate
4) Nuclear Israel and her push to unleash them before the same can be used against her
5) Societal and moral collapse in America
6) How to count to three.
I think Perry could had said Dept. of Burden on the Taxpayer.
When asked what dept. that is, he could say "take your pick".
He could try. But he'd probably end up saying something like, "Pick your take," or "Your pink tank."
Man! I wish he would distance himself from Rick Perry. They are on two different ends of the issue.
Joe, put the pot down. Since when has Perry secured his borders? Especially, when he is giving away free college educations to the illegals. You hiding something Joe? Stick to what you promised the US public. Call out the Muslim usurper in the white wood shed. Obama's Kenya Birth certificate, Oh! I know, in Kenya, of course, where else would it be, duh!
I will not vote for Rick Perry or any of the other republican party for president except Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann . these two people will not stand there and look you in the eye and lie to your face. They are both honest and will fight for the constitution and we the people. We need to get our country back on track and I believe these two can do it.
Rick Perry and Joe Arpaio make a great, great, great team. Both are very experienced in Pubic service, both are taking on an othrwise Federal obligation and task, illegal immigration, and despite Federal inteference are accomplishing implacement of Border controls and creating models of sustainable effectiveness in that hazardous undertaking. Both are Conservative Republicans and are not fooled by Keynesian Economic Models. God Bless them both!!!!!!!!!!
Christopher, Perry and Arapio are on OPPOSITE polls as far as the Illegals are concerned.
Perry "allows" illegals discounted education that other Texas students and those from other states are not included.
He wants the Illegals to be given amnesty here.

Politics makes for very strange headlines. Arpaio is 180 degrees from perry's amnesty, dream act actions. There must be something rewarding involved somewhere, Joe is looking at and testing waters for possible senate?? but what if Perry offered DEA, FBI, quite high position instead?? Perry has to be grabbing at EVERY star. We're going to see all kinds of strange remarks and porpagnda media pop ups.

We need someone in the White House that will *support* the Constitution and do what he or she says they will do.
Well, that person is a "he." It is Ron Paul. I sometimes wonder if Arpaio knows we even *have* a Constitution. He may be right on the immigration issue. We need much better border control. But it must be done *Constitutionally,* and that means the rights of individuals must not be violated.
Ron Paul is the person for the job. He has a level head, thinks things through, supports the Constitution and does *not* flip-flop!

Sheriff Joe, you just lost a lot of fans. Very poor judgment, IMHO. I agree with many of the comments that RON PAUL is the only candidate who says what he means and means what he says. He will abide by the Constitution, bring the troops home from the ME hell holes, and do away with all the dead weight as soon as feasible. Don't listen to those who say he doesn't stand a chance of winning .. they don't want you to vote for him .. they're scared to death of a Ron Paul Presidency. Shame on Joe! I will not support Perry because of giving in-state tuitions to illegals. Every illegal in college in Texas is taking the place of an American "Texas" kid and I for one am sick of educating law breaking aliens. Educate our kids, not illegals. If they want to come an get an education here, then come here legally!
I like Joe and have supported him. I will not vote for Perry, Newt, nor Romney.
