Obama’s Wild Ride
March 12, 2010 · 1 Comment
Mr. Obama’s term in office is like Disney’s Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. His reckless policies and actions cause destruction to whatever he touches. He needs to be stopped. Obama and his special-interest allies, especially his lap-dog media, are doing everything they can to keep government growing and eroding our rights. If ordinary people like us don’t stand up and continue the rebellion, Washington will soon forget the discontent in the hinterlands. Obama says it’s good, America says it’s no good Recently on MSNBC, Dylan Ratigan assailed Mark Williams of the Tea Party Express. In the midst... [Read the full story]

Eric Boehlert: Anti-Government Rhetoric Not Part of Liberal Dialogue
March 12, 2010 · Leave a Comment
If you read Media Matters even occasionally you can only conclude that the application for a job there consists of one question… evidently Media Matters forgot about this little movie … Do you have any sense of shame? If the answer is yes, you’re out of a job. If the answer is no, you might be Eric Boehlert. Eric’s weekly column is another salvo in the blame game. Typically, he rests his conclusions about Pentagon shooter John Bedell’s motivations on a few quotes that show he was an economic libertarian. Boehlert ignores Bedell’s anti-Bush rhetoric and puts aside the fact that he was... [Read the full story]

The Pros and Cons of Citizen Journalism
March 12, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Gerry Storch quotes some people who miss the point in his Feb. 26 column, The pros and cons of newspapers partnering with ‘citizen journalism’ networks. Four sources who cited “The Negative” about citizen journalism do not understand what it truly is and does. Even the five professionals quoted for “The Positive” disparage the credibility and integrity of citizens who choose – as did those at the founding of our nation — to make journalism their chosen field and passion. Citizen Journalists are filling an important void The point all of them miss is traditional... [Read the full story]

Former NY Times Editor attacks Fox News
March 12, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Editors Note: Howell Raines is a former executive editor of the New York Times, in this piece for the Washington Post he launches an all out assault on Fox News. The biggest problem with his heavily partisan assault is that he completely ignores MSNBC and the blatant lies they used to assault the Bush administration. Mr. Raines ignores all the partisan lies that his own former employer, the New York Times told and stories they spiked to get Obama elected in the first place. I guess the NYT and other liberal media sources can’t stand the fact that Fox News is presenting somewhat of an alternative... [Read the full story]

Beck, Fox News and Saudi Prince al Waleed bin Talal
March 11, 2010 · 9 Comments
It wasn’t until 10 years ago that Glenn Beck began discussing politics on the radio. Before that, most of his professional life was spent as a DJ. When it comes to the art of broadcasting, few are his peers. He’s a gifted showman, a performer par excellence. meet the 5% owner of Newscorp But, clearly, Beck still has much to learn as one of the nation’s leading political commentators. I don’t just say this because of Beck’s gross and defamatory mischaracterization of Dutch leader Geert Wilders, a courageous, freedom-loving politician who is trying to save his country... Trusting Terrorists, Abandoning Troops
I recently returned from a week-long media tour in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where some of our finest soldiers and sailors are tasked with a difficult and thankless job: guarding dangerous detainee enemy combatants captured in the course of the Global War on Terror. In the same week, Reps. Burton (R-Ind.) Rohrabacher (R-Cal.)...
